Congrats! Those are impressive increases for GEMB. I bet it is nice to finally have a comma in those credit lines.
Thanks Colonative! You bet! Now all my limits have commas! yahoo! GEMB is being generous... I hope they give increases quarterly. hehehehe!

Walmart CC: from $400 to $1,200
JC Penney CC: from $700 to $1,500
both gave me $800 CLI (they're both GEMB, right?)
Credit Score accdg to creditkarma: 694
~~~ I remember requesting for a CLI from Walmart last March/April and was denied... I guess they review accounts periodically, then give increases.
Yay! I'm so happy!
It is a B of A Visa Signature with Worldpoints. It was a Platinum plus Visa with Worldpoints before and it started as just a regular Visa. However they've never given me a CLI on the account to this day.
Thanks for the info. I wonder why my Visa Gold has never been upgraded. They gave some pretty huge credit line increases over the years. That has of course stopped. I actually had a $20K limit until I had the nerve to apply for the Visa Signature 1/09. After putting me through the ringer as to why I would apply, they approved the Visa Signature at $5K by taking it away from the Visa Gold.
No CLI is and will always be better than a CLD.
Yes it is better than a CLD! I asked for a CLI once online and they cut my CL in half. When I saw what they had done. I immediatley called and talked to a credit annalist! They then put it back to what it was before.
Congrats. As far as I can remember, that is how Discover did CLI's; they have been conservative and it has paid off for them.
Your BofA Visa was upgraded to a Signature? What was it before? I have had a BofA Visa Gold since 2001 and it is still a Gold (not that I mind, I like the $15K credit line reporting plus I have a BofA Visa Signature opened last year on top of it). So is it a BankAmericard Visa Signature or just a Visa Signature?
Well I called Discover and asked if my account was eligible for CLI they asked me how much I wanted. I asked for only $1000 I didn't want to push it. Then they asked me my income and they approved it. Total now of $5000 CL. I also called Citi on my Exxon/Mobil Mastercard and got an increase of $200. That always seems to be Citi's limit on that card. It doesn't make any sense to me. It started at $500 now $1100 But less than a year on Shell Mastercard went from $500 to $3300 CL.
Well I was surprised when I checked my Bank of America Visa Account. They didn't give me an increase. They did however upgrade my account to Visa Signature. Just got the card in the mail today. Well I think that's it for me for a while.
I hate to be the bad news barrier, but Cap 1 has slowed the surprises down in here. I remember when I went from $500 to $2k. I almost past out on the floor...lolz!before anyone yells at me, ha ha. this was the first card I got when I started rebuilding my credit 6 months ago. 1st premier bank went from $250 to $388. Household Bank and Best Buy MC won't do limit increases for any right now...so kinda stuck. Capital One still has me at $3000.
