Orchard M/C $500.00
Ann Taylor $1,000.00
Walmart $700.00

Orchard Bank is my first suggestion to those who want to build/rebuild their credit. You can't go wrong with their secured card due to its terms: $200 min. deposit and $35 annual fee (waived for the first year).

Orchard was the only bank willing to take a risk on them. I will always refer anyone to a credit union first, then to either Cap One, Wells, Orchard, and lastly BOA. Their scores were tanked, maybe in the 400's at that point. It wasn't a secured card from Orchard, but their Platinum card with an AF of 39$. All in all, not bad.

HSBC's Orchard Bank was there for me! They treated me with respect! Customer service, crediting payments and reporting to the CBs every month was my ticket to the next level. Also, they didn't rip me off like many of the sub-primes do!!! :white-flag:

It sounds like you're well educated; however, I would never suggest an Orchard card. From people's stories here you normally end up with $200-$300 in fees upon opening the account. I know Meya's husband had this happen to him. I would rather send my clients to a local credit union for a secured card before an Orchard card. Anyway. Good luck in helping people re-build their credit.

My Target Store Card statement just cut today and.... I got a $1000 CLI making it $2000!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's the history :
Target Opened 04/13/07 w/ $200
--- Auto CLI on 07/11/07 to $500
--- Auto CLI on 11/03/09 to $1,000
--- Auto CLI on 07/16/10 to $2000 (took over 3 yrs but deff worth it since I LOVE SHOPPING THERE!)

I called just to double verify lol... Also to see if they still offer the Target Visas but they dont anymore... Doesnt matter... I still LOVE THEM! Interest is horrible tho!!!!!!1

Also my Walmart CC (Opened 08/04/07 w/ $125) has also gone from $340 to $490. Slowly but surely its moving on up : ) I rarely use this card maybe once every 3-4 months.

:dollar:    :cash:

Now to go see Inception :) Laterz FG. Miss yall!

Same here and that is the reason why i use my Citi cards a lot because as much as i use them(a ton)they've given me nice increases without a hard pull because of my usage.

I am thinking of adding a Citi card to my stable of cards. But right now, I'm gonna hold off. Not because of inquires, I'm working on getting some more CLI's and deciding which two cards I would like to cut loose.

I still prefer that there are no hard pulls for CLI's. Soft pulls are fine. I have nothing to hide from the CCC's, but why pull a hard.
