It was an automatic CLI. I don't know if they take into consideration income.

Good to know. I still don't know all the details to CARD ACT but I thought going forward income had to be considered but maybe that is just to open the account. This is great news then, I thought the days of auto CLI's were over but apparently they aren't! :cheesing:

Congrats! Did you request the increase or was it automatic? I am interested to see how automatic CLI's work after the CARD Act passed. I would assume that they can factor in the income originally reported on our applications...

Victoria's Secret VIP card just gave me a CLI! I started out with the regular Angel's card with a $500 limit and when I got upgraded to the VIP card, it got bumped to $970. Now it sits at $1,120. It may be a $150 increase but I will take it. It seems that they like heavy usage on that card.

Wow! Sweet deal on all the increases. Yeap about 2 months ago, I had the same thing with GE. My JCP card went from 500CL to a 1800CL. I was pretty excited.

Hello all GE Money credit card holders there has been a change in the 4 month waitin period between credit line increases. Please see as follows.

Lowes opened one month ago 300.00 now 1150.00

Dillards last increase one month ago 1500.00 now 1800.00

Belk one month ago 300.00 now 800.00

Chevron one month ago 700.00 now 900.00

Pennys and Kirklands and American Eagle declined.

However now GE money is now asking for annual income before increases.

Before I bought my house last month ( by the way has not reported yet ) I had received increases from all of the above one month ago hope this helps members as I have been help by ALL of you.

Thanks for EVERYTHING,

Jeremy

Hi all, my first post but I have been lurking here quite a while.

Could you tell us of those increases from a month ago were requested or automatic CLI's? Thanks :cheesing:

Congrats on the increases and thanks for the info. Do you have accounts with other creditors? It would make me nervous having so many accounts with the same bank.

Did they lower your CL before because of the inactivity? It seems as though GE is coming back around with the CLI.

They sure did !

I'm mainly interested in keeping the account open for the long history. I didn't want GEMB to close the account due to inactivity. However it was nice they put it back up to $500 CL. That is a good increase for GEMB on an automatic CLI.

You can ask for a CLI over the internet every 4 months. There's a good chance that GEMB will give you one.

Well I checked my JCPenney card account online. I received an automatic CLI of $376 . I had just made a purchase two days earlier. I hadn't used the account in a very long time. I would assume that is what triggered the CLI. Credit limit now back up to $500 CL. I'm lucky they never closed it after all the years of inactivity.
