Add me to the list of happy Citi cardholders.

Checked my account online this morning after activating my renewal card (just unsecured) last night and requested a CLI of $1500 and they gave it to me

Congratulations !!! on the increase and getting your account unsecured ! It always feels good to get an increase.

Citi like to see a lot of usage so i purchase items i want and make large payments every month and Citi reward me with good cli's every three months and good balance transfer options like clockwork.

That's great! HSBC's also doing that but I'm not sure if it's every three months.

Well I was checking my Citibank card accounts online. The credit limit increase button showed up. I had to press it! It said they couldn't do it online that I needed to call. so I called for both accounts. They needed to confirm income. There is still no hard pull on the credit bureaus. I asked for a $1000 CLI on my Shell Platinum Mastercard now $3300 CL. Then I called to asked for a $1200 CLI on my AT&T Universal Mastercard. They gave me $1500 CLI to my surprise. That brings the total CL to $7800. I'm surprised they gave me more than I asked for. It usually works the other way. However I've always been pleased with Citibank and how my accounts have grown! I guess they already have a set amount predetermined before you call based on what your income is. Both increases are the same amount as last time. Definately very pleased with the way they've treated me. There customer service is always very friendly and helpful as well.

Congratulations! Wow, Citi is really getting a lot of satisfied customers lately. Do you use the Shell MasterCard frequently? I just ask because there's not many Shell's in my area. I pretty much only use Chevron. It's the most convenient to me. And my dad always told me to use Chevron gas (he was a mechanic). He said stay the hell away from Arco/ AMPM. LOL. Anyway, congrats with those increases again.

before anyone yells at me, ha ha. this was the first card I got when I started rebuilding my credit 6 months ago. 1st premier bank went from $250 to $388. Household Bank and Best Buy MC won't do limit increases for any right now...so kinda stuck. Capital One still has me at $3000.

Yea, next month is my 2 year mark with my BestBuy MC. When I originally got it in the mail, I told them I was closing the account cause it was only a $300 limit. They bumped me up to $450, so I held onto it. A year passed and on renewal they bumped me to $550. If they don't give me a better increase by next month, they're gone. I know that after 2 and 1/2 years is when it really hurts if you close the card, so I'm waiting 1 more month to see. Capone hasn't increased me in over a year since my credit steps ended. I guess what I'm tryin to say, is I don't think there's too many cards now that are doing CLI upon request. I know that Macy's is really good about it though.

Since you get a regular CLI from Citi, does this mean that you don't carry any balance? What's their criteria for giving CLIs?

My Citi Platinum Select cli request showed up today like clockwork(every three months) and i had to call for income verification. the csr was kind of pushy about sending me a check to deposit or a balance transfer but overall was nice so she asked me what i wanted so i said 1200 and got it. my credit limit now is 13k and so far Citi has been great. that's why i wanted another card with them and close the ones that served their purpose.

Which supprised me it always seems like anytime they give you something better. They take one thing away. I have to say I'm still happy with Chase though.

Sweet deal! How long have you had your card? It's nice to hear that capone is doing increases again. October will be 2 years with my card and I'm still at the 1k CL as well and I use it heavy and PIF every month.

I've had it three months. ^_^
