Walmart...?! Boy don't let American Express hear that...
No kidding. Amex claims that they no longer profile where a cardholder shops. I wouldn't dare use my Amex at Wal-Mart. Citibank never said either way if they profiled or not. I cannot think of any other reason why they would have CLD my Dividend account. I have very little debt and an Experian score that goes between 780-790 depending on the month etc. Then they turn around and give me a CLI on this account, Citibank, go figure.

I logged into my email and saw "Congratulations on your recent credit line increase" from AT&T Universal MasterCard (Citibank). I thought that was odd, getting an email like that, although I suppose BofA has done that in the past. Anyway, went from $7,800 to $8,850 (what is it with Citibank and the $50 increments?). I am surprised by the increase because I hardly use the account. I have a $400 balance left over from a 0% APR balance transfer. What is even more strange is that in February Citibank LOWERED the limit on my Citibank Dividend MasterCard from $10,800 to $8,100 and I used that card all the time up until recently (I am almost certain that is because I have been shopping at Wal-Mart). Who knows...but it is good to see that the banks are showing (automatic) love after CARD Act.

Well Citi did it again! On my AT&T Universal Mastercard. I called them again like it said online for credit limit increase. They asked how much I wanted. I asked for 1,000 & they gave me 1,500 CLI. Very happy with them they definitely have shown some love. Age of account will be 2 years in Oct. Started out at $1,300 CL . It's now at $9,300 CL can't believe it myself.

I also called like it said online about my Shell Platinum Select Mastercard. Again they asked what amount I wanted. I just asked for $700 CLI so they would round it up to $4,000. They gave me a $1,000 which took it to $4,300. This account is only 14 months old & started at $500. I'm stil amazed by the growth of both of these Citibank accounts.
