Congratulations !!! To everyone on the CLI's with JCP card! They must be gearing up for the holidays. I was checking my account and pressed the CLI button. I was amazed how much they gave me. I went from $500 CL to $2700 CL. That is the largest increase I've ever got from them.
Congratulations on your increase!
When was the last time you got an increase from them?

I just requested CLI from JcPenny online and there it was an instant from my $700 limit to $1500! Although I dont intend to use it all I was just excited it more than doubled! I got this card in April of 09 started me out with a $500 limit.
That's a great increase from GEMB. Take it and run with it.

My capital one card just got an auto increase fron $500 to $750, so i decided to call every one of my cards and ask for increases. here is what i got
Congrats on those increases. One quick question, what store is that wfnnb card from? I applied for one almost two years ago, I was denied because I literally had one month of credit history (I was 18 and illiterate to credit). It was at West Elm - a furniture store.

Wow! Really? I must be lucky... I have only been a Chase CC holder for about 8 months before they gave me the auto CLI. I thought they really review the customer's accounts periodically and give increases.Way to go... This is the first reported Chase CL increase I have heard of!
Thanks a lot!

Chase Freedom CC gave me an automatic CLI, from $1,700 to $2,000 last month. I just use the card occasionally and PIF each month.

When I said lower limit, I meant interest rate.
On another note... I love my local CU. I had a huge amount charged on Chase ($1500). I basically charged a part of my tuition on the card because I needed some help paying it. Chase raised my interest rate to 23.3% APR from 14%APR. I went to my CU for help and they opened up an installment loan for the amount at 14% APR and paid the card off for me. I still have this account open put I rarely use it.
I called Chase today and they absolutely wouldn't budge on the APR. Guess they will fall victim to the sock drawer.
Hehe, gotta love the credit unions. They're so sick! My credit union is launching a new online service partnered with Geezeo on Sept 22nd! It's going to be like Mint.com but internal and offers transferring between accounts. Bottom line is I'll be able to see my Capital One, Elan card, nelnet student loans, and paypal accounts all in one place. With budgets, etc..

Empathy for you. I had the exact same results and moved on to other cards and said goodbye. Many cards are great starter cards but slowly over time we outgrow them. You may be getting to the time where bigger cards need to be yours! Also, some credit unions will really treat you right and this might be an option. You could give USAA Federal Savings Bank a call and review your needs (they are pretty good with upcoming customers) www.usaa.com

I also called CapitalOne today for a CLI. They tried, but got told me that my account was currently not eligible for customer initiated CLI's. I tried this about to weeks ago on another CapitalOne card I have and got the same spiel. I got a letter in the mail from the first request that said the same thing. So in other words, they didn't look at my credit history or even go so far as to do a soft pull.
They did however lower my limit on my Visa to 11%APR for 6 months.
