i have had my jcb card for 2 months now, i just got my second statement today. i had called after my first statement to ask for an increase, and they said no we must have 6 months of payment history to get an increase. got my statement and my limit is now raised from $1500 to get this.... $1600. they said no then yes? and only $100?? i hope this card grows with me a lot more than $100 at a time

Interesting... my link is on the site when I log in all the time. Tried it and was sent a letter that I had to many inquiries and new credit. Sooo... I am not touching it in the near future.

I tried for a credit limit increase on my West Coast Bank card (Elan Financial services) and they denied me with a letter saying my credit balances were too high on other accounts. Yet, my utilization is below 1% on all cards. I have a $60 balance on that card right now, last year they gave me an auto increase of $400, at the time my balance was probably around $500-700. It's almost like they want people without discipline sometimes. After I let my Zync age with me I will apply for a Blue Cash, then I will reevaluate my situation and if my Capital One and Elan cards don't have increases or anything new and special I will close them. We'll see, everything seems to change so quick with credit. Six months ago I had my mind set on the Costco AMEX. Now I could careless. :sleepy:

I've been reading around and it appears that the credit limit increase link is showing on quite a few people's account all of a sudden like mine did today and it is still there after i went for it.

Did you have to submit income or call in?

I just call......When you call, they just asked you how much you want and what is your annual income and they hit the button and that's it.

Congratulations on your increase!

I've had the card since 1998. I hadn't used in a while back in May or June this year it was down to CL of $124. So I figured I better use it or lose it! Didn't want to lose the history. So I bought something and low and behold. When I checked my account online they had increased it automatically to CL of $500 ! I'm amazed they didn't close this account years ago due to lack of use!

i pulled my fico scores just now and was astonished. 26 months ago when i started re-building, my scores were around 490 to 510. today equifax is 718 and transunion is 709!!! on transunion the only baddies are 2 charge-off around 5 years old, no collections or public records. on equifax, the only baddies is one medical collection from about 4 years ago, both charge-offs are not showing on equifax. experian report is identical to transunion, just the 2 charge-offs. no collections.

i have opened 2 prime accounts in the last 2 months.

to all of those re-building, it does pay off to persevere.

Congratulations !!! To everyone on the CLI's with JCP card! They must be gearing up for the holidays. I was checking my account and pressed the CLI button. I was amazed how much they gave me. I went from $500 CL to $2700 CL. That is the largest increase I've ever got from them.

WOW! Biggest increase I have read about or heard of. I started at $1,000 and then to $1,800 and then to $2,400 in a year+.
