I called the Cap 1 back door number for my sister last week and voila! I got a $300 CLI for her. I have 3more weeks to wait before my 3mths is up to call again and ask for a CLI for both of my cap 1 cards.

I'm hoping that I get at least $300 apiece or at lease $500.

I have a MyPoints Visa and its issued by WaMu. Its an ok card but if its WaMu, dont waste your breath asking for a CLI. If you use the card and are in good terms (make at least minimum payments on time, dont go over your limit), they will automatically review your account for an increase. This is how WaMu does it. They dont accept requests from you but determine it themsleves. I have two WaMu CCs and I am patiently waiting for something to happen to the other card.

I wanted to ask you all when would it be a good time to ask for a credit increase? I am rebuliding my credit and was approved for a My points credit card in April. This is my oldest card . I was approved for a Bank of america card at the end of Aug.

Man I called Orchard (back door number) Had the first card for amount 14 months and got a CLI of $100 in April so today I got another $100 asked if I could get more..she said that's all the system gave me...took it at $15 pop. I haven't used both cards in months...so I guess giving me a CLI 3months after the first one is ok.

Just as I was about to close my JC Penney charge after numerous requests for a CLI. But today, as I went to pay off the $70.00 balance of a $150.00 Credit limit, I decided to hit the love button...voila! $1,350.00 CLI bringing that measly limit to $1,500.00!!!

I guess I will keep this card

It's all good bro, it beats where we once were. Your limit is higher than mines. I am at $1300 with them but I was going to do the same thing in Dec, ask for another cli:laugh:

Speaking of Macy's, it was time for a CLI and they gave me a $300 CLI which brings my limit to $2,300. I was hoping for more but I will call in December hoping I can bring my limit up to $3k.

That is a fantastic JCP CLI. I got a $1700 line and I have yet to use the card. Maybe next week. My sis has a $3k CL with JCp, does anyone know if this is the top amount for a JCP card.

To the other poster, did you get deals for buying electronic items at Macy's? I'm not sure that their prices beat BB or Circuit City. Yes and don't be late with Macy's or they will CLD you.

I applied for a Macy's card in May only received a lmit of $200. As I was instructed by one of the manager- NEVER ever be late. I asked and was given the following

They are great, but watch out with them, they will open up multiple tradelines for all of this. IMHO that is excessive, I only want one Macy's account.
