Well Cap1 showed me no love last week. I asked for a CLI on both my cards and she said that the computer was not showing any offers for me. It was 3mths and 2 days since I got my last CLI. This week, I got a letter saying that it needed to be 6mths from my last CLI so I guess that means to call back around Xmas.

Cireone, I use Capital One's purchase checks all the time. Now, I only use my Capital One account to pay my auto payments monthly. I write the check to myself, deposit it into my checking, and make the payment on Toyota's website.

I use the "No Transaction Fee" purchase checks because I don't want to 3 percent of the check amount and I end up paying for the amount I borrowed in full before my statement cuts so I don't end get charged for it at all. Gotta love Cap 1! :cheesing:

Speaking of Cap1, I posted a message of me not getting the credit steps ad being told that they have no idea of the program and to just try back in a few months. Well I was looking at the original letter for the credit steps whn i got home from work ad thought, lets just check online an see what it shows. To my surprise, I was given a $500 CLI. Thats double what the inital CLI creditsteps program offered. Im so happy for this. It now lessens my utilization. Does anyone know anything about Cap1 Purchase Checks??????

I know I'll get the credit steps increase in about 6 weeks!!!

Cireone, do whatever works for you. Don't be pressured into doing something you don't want to do, always be in your comfort zone.

Shop On Line At Macys You Can Use Discount Coupons 4 Shipping Ect...

I have looked at Macys online but its just the typical things that all stores carry. Thats why I like shopping in store because the selection and lin of brands are more expansive than online.

so I Called A Week Ago For My Macys Card To Request A Cli. The Rep Was Nice And Spoke Great English. Anyways, We Went Over My Account But She Said That I Didnt Have A 4 Month Payment History. Hmmm.......i Haveused Nad Said Pif The Card More Than Four Times. But I Havent Used The Card In Awhile Because The Nearest Macys Is Like A Bargain Bin One. Old Merchandise, Where As I Have To Travel A Ways Away To Goto The Store That Has A Better Selection. Maybe Thats What She Was Trying To Explain.oh Well.

Also, A Couple Of Months Ago I Requested And Got An Increase Of $500 For My Cap1 Visa. It Was Alo Under The Creditsteps Program. Well When I Called The Backdoor Number, The Rep Had No Idea What The Creditsteps Program Was. He Then Put Me On Hold For A Couple Of Minutes And Came Back Saying That He Has No Control Over That Program And He Couldnt Look Into It. He Told Me To Try Back In A Few Months Since The Last Increase Was Just I August. So No Such Luck With Cap1 Either.

Cireone, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I tried the same procedure with my father's Capital One account and it didn't work. Basically, they gave your Credit Steps Program CLI before your statement cut. You might have luck after your fourth statement closes so just hang in there.

So what happened to the creditsteps program?????? I know i called prematurely for my first increase and surprisingly got 1. But I thought that I would still be eligible for the creditsteps program as some have wrote on this forum that I could get a double CLI, 1 creditsteps and the other a regular. IDK.

Well, if you dont mind me asking...
When did you apply for the card and when did you get your first CLI? Has your statement closed a total of 3 times?

I got my Credit Steps CLI on my fourth statement.

Cireone, call Macy's back and speak to another CSR rep. Macy's gives CLI's every 3 months, don't give up.

If your last CLI from Cap One was in August, then you need to wait 6 months from August in order to be eligible for another CLI.
