Ohhh man, I wish I knew you were applying for the plus size stores. The Avenue was your best bet. Lane Bryant turned me down numerous of times and then they finally gave me $250 and did not want to give an "INCREASE" Sooooo, I closed it. They are funny style, why I don't know with those bell bottom jeans and granny shirts they be selling. Yes I am mad and hating them, at least I am not saying it behind their backsI was denied for a lane bryant but I'm ok with that since I'm in the process of lossing weight
Ps, come to the weight stories thread started by FlatBroke, I am bout to start a new club on that next week!

sg2416, they're asking for a copy of your SS and DL to verify your identity. If you have opened 12 accounts recently, then that's make any creditor ask for verification. If they included a fax number in the letter, I would fax them the information. If not, send it with Certified Mail. You don't want your personal info getting lost in the mail.
Hjm331,
Thanks for the reply, Every card I have applied for has asked for some form of identification because they could not identify me. I have had to go into 4 stores after applying online and provide them with requested items. I have had to call and now I am being asked to send more personal information. I would love to have a capitol 1 card and will send the items they ask for. I just wanted to know if this has happened to others?

Hi All,
I applied online to Capitol One on the 26 of Nov. got the 7-10 reply. I received a letter from them today indicating they need a copy of my social security number and drivers license. My question is, has this ever happened to any of the FG members and what if any were the outcome?
To be honest, I have opened up 12 credit cards since I came across this web site in May 08 (I only use a few at a time and pay them off). I am now in re-hab and will not be applying for anymore cards for at least 24 months. It is gonna be hard because when you read the post and there are others applying and receiving new cards, ya just want to take a spin to see what if I can get one too.

Thanks iantha1 for info. I just moved into my new place so I ordered some things from to make the house feel homey:cheesing:.
Meya, you just gave me more info that I didn't realize. The bills that hurt your credit sure as heck don't help it i.e. cell phones and utility. I'm going to start off slow with the secured card from orchard and see where that gets me in the next 6 months or so. I was denied for a lane bryant but I'm ok with that since I'm in the process of lossing weight:laugh:. I was approved for a crown jewelers account for $2500, and I read the post about the identidy theft thing. There are two rings I want and then we'll see what happens with them in 6 months.

In that case, they function like utility bills, cable, and phone/cell bills. I don't think you are going to make any progress on rebuilding your report using this creditor. But wait, if you like this company and want to stay with them, by all means do so because nothing is better than dealing with a company that you like best. You feel rewarded from cs and consumer satisfaction.

Now DivaDoNot, let me throw a little bug in on ya, you need to get some one who is going to show you all 3 Cb's when you pull your report and to monitor all 3 when something changes. Mycreditkeeper.com monitors Experian, but if something changes on any other report, I will get the alert, plus I can see all 3 CB when it is time for me to pull my report. I think you need to change credit monitors, one is not always good because you don't know what is going on with the others.

They might not report to EX but report to the other two Credit Bureaus. As Meya suggested, give them a call and see what's going on.

The monitor I have only shows me EX as of right now and I didn't see anything on there. Hmm maybe I should call them up and ask. Thanks Meya.

I just checked their website out and I did not see a financial backer other than themselves. Give them a call and see do they report to all 3 Cb's monthly. BTW, I remember you saying that you have a credit monitor, do you see it on your Cr?

That's weird, I have not heard anything about that either. The only reason why I can see that your min payment went down was because of a payment that you made toward the account. Oh well, if it says you only owe $20 then let it be:worried:
Rivas, the same thing happened to me a couple of months ago, they sent me a statement in the mail when I am a ebill payer also. I was sort of thinking, "hummm, what what was that for? Every since then it went back to ebill again.
