Today i called credit one about about a charge i disputed, which was removed, and was offered a 200 cli for 10$ which i accepted.
My credit limit now with credit one is 2500 in which i can now close those 2 first premiere credit cards:cheesing: i have now and keep credit one open and use it every now and then.I may take a hit but i am slowly but surely weeding out some sub prime cards and working my way up to prime time:laugh:

Hmmm, they might think something else, $420.....
That person must be really narrow-minded.

You are so crazy. I think the next time I call in for an increase, I am going to tell them, "Since I see that you always increase by $400, I was wondering if I can get $420 instead?" Just my luck, I might get $200, and then I am coming after you Colo. Oh yeah, and hjm too for putting his 7 chuckles in with ya.

I called last week and they said they didn't have any CLI offers in their system for me at the time which is weird because they usually give me CLI's every 6 months like clockwork. I'm going to wait until January's statement cuts before I call-in again.

That is the same thing The Avenue has done to me. $2980, they just won't round it up for nothing in the world. It used to be even when I opened the account, $250, now it looks weird.
I know, why not an even $3K?? I'd call them up and say, "you know, it seems like you might need that $80 more then me, so just give me $2,900."

So out of the blue Emblem raised my card limit. I went from $184 to $384 overnight. Yea for me! It kind of makes up for my Salute card being cut off.
First of all, congratulations. Secondly, couldn't they round up your limit to $400??? That $84 is beyond random.

I don't think it's worth keeping the Hooters card but you can get increase and have the AF reduced on the BB Mastercard when you call-in to cancel your account.

Well, my renewal is 05/2009, so I am going to wait till April call in and if I don't get an increase from them, I might just close the account. I just don't want to pay another 36 AF if they dont show any love to me. Plus, I have a CapOne now, which only after 2 mths they doubled my CL. Do you think its a good idea to close after a year? I am considering doing the same with Best Buy MC since that has a 79 AF on it.

They want to save their lending power to new applicants and gain new customers instead of increase the credit limits of their current customers. What they don't realize is that they don't keep their loyal customers happy, they will end up losing them. I guess they think they have everything figured out.

The same thing happen to YoYo11, please don't feel discouraged from it. I would love to tell you to hold on for a minute and give it time, but I have told my girl the same thing, and nothing happened. I am starting to wonder what is going on with them. They have closed some accounts and have not given increases to some in here, but yet they are still approving new accounts. Makes me wonder.

I'm just wondering what every1s experience has been with Hooters giving increases. My 7th billing cycle is about to close out with them and I still haven't seen an increase from them.
