Question: how high can/does the Target cl go? Meaning, the highest you ever heard of for initial cl and clis.

Hey ya'll, been away for a minute. My sister passed away a month ago from cardiac arrest at age 53 so we (family) have been dealing with that loss, then the holidays and getting back to work.

So, today I was looking at another board and someone was saying that they use the "send message/r"? on Target.com to see if they would get a CLI and they received a CLI up to a 1000. Now legend has it that Target does not give manual CLI only system generated. So I go on there to try it out, lo and behold they had already given me a $300 CLI

Congrats! on the increase to which Target is known to give cli after three months but for some they seem to keep their account at a 200 limit no matter how much they use it.

I was shocked like whoaaaaa!!!! Er'body go check your accounts as it seems Target is giving belated Christmas gifts.

note: I have only had the card since 10/08 and of course I pif because the CL was only $200 and the purchases (only made 2) were about 15-40% of my CL.

Congrats on the increase, right about now we don't care if it was a $10 increase, that just let us know that there is still some love going on somewhere in the credit world


Hey Jay1, please don't let that discourage you with Macy's. The coupons does not work with perfumes neither. I get mad sometimes but I just keep on shopping where it works. So far, it has worked everywhere I shopped in the store.

So I thought well okay there is still 10% off for using your card right.... NOPE Levi's and most everything else excluded. At leat at Penny's when they say that you get a discount for using your card there are no EXCLUSIONS! I am going to sock drawer Macy's for a year and close it.

The excluded items are listed in the back of the coupon card. I know that they they don't print it somewhere noticeable but that's a marketing trick. They use that trick to bring customers into their stores and if their desired items aren't eligible for a discount, they might find something else that they like.

Hey all I have a gripe about Macy's. I got a discount card in the mail for $25.00 off a purchase of $100.00 or more. Please bear in mind that the nearest Macy's is 70 miles from my house. nope no fee at all. I threatened to cancel, so worked out in my favor.

Did they charge you a fee for that increase?

hey all called in to first premier today ready to cancel my card if i dont get a cli, instead they gave me a 100 increase. So decided to keep them around for a while. Just thought id report that. thanks for all the advice guys

Hey hjm, I still have a balance and still charged on it yesterday when I purchased the machine. I just wanted to see my available credit still at $3k. I don't know how they work and I only got an increase from them once that was last year around this time. I never call them at all, actually I am wondering does the account stay open when everything is at $0 balance:confused:. When I talked to the guy who took my order from NordiTrack, he asked was my account still open. Huuuum, that made me wonder do it close when I am finished paying. The same thing with sleep number, do that close when I am finished paying? Neither one says installment on my Cr.

Was she an outsourced rep?
