Did a cli with cap 1 today and I just had to crack up laughing. The specialist was sooooo cool, she even laughed at me. Well I was denied from my "lovely creditor!" The rep said, "Now Mrs. Meya, I think you are pretty aware that you just received a cli Aug 25 and it is a little too soon for another increase." I was like "Ooooohhhhh laawwwwd," My lil son wants a Green Machine, my middle wants a motor car, and my oldest one wants a Xbox 360 and a dirt bike, I am on my knees calling you because they all wants to know "what's in my wallet" and you are the only one I can think of....sniff, sniff. Lady you don't understand, a denial is going to put me in the graveyard. I have two kids sharing the offspring of Charles Manson and the little one is a duplicate of Chucky. I don't have any life insurance so plllleeeeeeeeaaaaaasssssssssseeeeeee help meeeeee!" The rep fell out laughing at me and said, we do offer life benefits you know. Maaaan I just fell to the floor lmfao. We both cried. She told me ok, ok, ok, here is the other option I will do for you, I can increase your limit by $200 but when you get ready to call in again in January 09, you are going to be putting yourself in another stage of denial. I whipped my fake tears and said, "Whats today's date?" She told me "Dec 5th." I was like, "Laaawd I need to stop taking too many anti-depressants because I thought today was April 1st 1987, I was just calling in to see who I can play April fool's on. Have a nice day and please don't forget to vote for Jimmy Carter on election day.":innocent:

I guess I will call in around Dec 31 or Maybe Jan 09, I knew it was too soon, but I took that chance anyway. I still love my cap one and I will update you all next month

Ok, so I know that First Premier Bank is not the best company to deal with but, Ive been with them for quite some time and never got a CLI. Well, yesterday I gave in to enrolling in online service. OF course thy charged me $3.95 (one-time fee). Well I saw the "Request Credit Limit Increase" button and had to press it. Well I was approved for $100 with a $25 fee (sucks). Then today, I checked it online and they actually gave me a $200 CLI.

Thanks smcc. Nice to see BOA trusting me with their money in this credit climate. If they gave me a $1.5k CLI now I wonder what type of CLI they will give me when the economy gets better.

Congrats hjm331, one day at a time, one on time payment at a time, one CLI at a time :cheesing:

I noticed a difference when I submitted both requests. When I submitted the request for the CLI on the AMEX, I read a message which said, "You will receive a written decision in 5-7 business days."

However, when I submitted the CLI request for the Visa, I got a message saying, "Thanks for letting us serve you! If you are approved for a request, it will be available within 24 hours when your request is reviewed in the next business day. If your request is declined, you will receive a letter within 5-7 business days."

I wonder if the computer automatically denies your request if you don't wait 6 months since your last CLI.

Makes sense. I don't think I have ever requested a CLI from BofA-they keep doing them on their own.

I asked for a $1k CLI on my BOA Visa last night and woke up to a $1.5k CLI. That brings my limit to $3,500 and it had me jumping up and down.

Congrats, I wonder why they gave you a CLI on the Visa but not the Amex?
