I don't have experience with Bank of America cards. But, I wanted to say my compliments regarding your sock door method. People used to do that all the time, rather now it's how many can I stuff in my wallet?! Good work!

PS: It won't be long until someone responds to your Bank of America question.

What a roller coaster ride this last year has been for all of us. I opened a B of A checking account last year to use for saving money and other bills that I wanted to keep separate from my accounts with Chase. I didn’t get a CC from them because I have one with Chase and USAA accounts. Have been rebuilding for 10 years from a job layoff in 2002. B of A just approved me for the BankAmericard Power Rewards Visa Signature. There was a note when I logged into my checking account that it was available. Has anyone had any experience with this card? The B of A site says New next to these cards, I know this is the old name that was used many years ago. Thanks for any help. I have now worked to just have cards from Chase, USAA, B of A (new), and Macy's. I have sock drawer my 2 HSBC cards for over a year.

First ever credit limit increase!! from first premier no less!!
i i have been denied credit limit increases on my first premier credit card three times now. i went online and requested one and as soon as i hit the love button it said congratulatrions! because you have managed your account in a exemplary manner, a $100 increase will be effective immediatly. you will be charged a $25 credit limit increase fee. even with the fee i am excited. the last few months all of my hard work re-building my credit has been paying off. if only i hadnt shot myself in the foot with my credit from 18 to 23 years old!

it means key derogatory. i have been reading and they cannot report that every month because it is implying that there is an agreement for payment every month and there is not. they cannot report it as installment account and update every month either because the original account is not open. collection agencys cannot report the closed account they bought as open.

i have already disputed them. if i am correct, they will have to change to collection and not installment and the monthly kd marks will disappear. which will help my credit.

this is just from what i have read here:

I am not for sure if it will hurt you or not because they still see the 30, 60, 90, 120 late or charge off late showing up right? I would not want to talk to the creditors, I would rather ask the 3 Cb's about that issue. You don't want them blowing your house phone up again. One more thing, what does kd mean?

no, never any debt settlement or payment agreements. no contact of any kind. i dont think they can be reported as installment because there is no fixed payment agreement and i was never loaned any money from them?? there are three of them all reporting as installment

I just tried to apply for a credit card for Best Buy and I have amazing credit, and was denied for their "inability to verify identity." Is there any way I can fix this or do something about it?

Actually, hold your horses, don't be nervous....lolz! I think yours is just as simple as to call them and ask if you could send a fax of your ID, SSN, and whatever else they might need to verify you. Usually someone would call you and ask you a few security questions and then move forward with your application. Give them a call asap and let us know what happened.

Have you enrolled into a debt management program, or agreed to pay a settlement with those debts? :worried:

I have a weird question for everyone here.....
Looking at my credit report, there are a couple of collection accounts which are listed as installment accounts and not collection accounts. they show under installment debt and not collection debt, and they are listed in the actual listing as being installment accounts. can they list them as installment accounts? and why would they?

I would really like to take advantage of their 18 month interest free payments if I pay in full by then, which I can thankfully.

I am slightly confused why they could not verify my identity but I'm wondering its because the verification questions they had were a little confusing. They asked if a woman by my mother's first name (Emma) and last name (with the last name spelled somewhat wrong though) lived in the same town or state that I do and a bunch of other cities and states or if I don't know this person. I selected that I didn't know this person because I don't and because my mother passed away over 10 years ago. They kept saying that my answers didn't match because I was selecting that a person with my father's first and last name (spelled correctly) lived in the same city and state that I did and that another woman's name (Julia) they were asking about I kept selecting that I didn't know of either. I'm pretty sure that's what got me denied because I believe that they wanted me to select that my mother was living in the same town and state that I was in even though she's not. What can I do? :scared:

Set up online payments with GE Money/Wal-Mart and saw the credit limit increase button! LOL, I walked right around it, and paid my card off, but man, its tempting to see it! LOL, any ways, when should I hit this so called love button? 4 Months, 6 Months? When? When I activated the card was told my a rep that I can go back into Wal-Mart in about six months and apply for the Discover card as well! Scores this Month, 589TU, 672 EQ, 608EX, They are getting there, I am hoping between my new mortgage and aging trade lines my scores will soar!

The walmart card issued by GEMB bank like to see four months of on time payments to be considered for a cli.
