Reading your card reviews, you never really included any details about the card. Please describe your experience with the card in the near future to help our fellow readers get an idea if the card they want is right for them. Posting the large limit only will not help, posting your scores, limit, and overall experience will help us all.

Thanks

Hey Kiejon, I have a question for you. If I recall, you said that your annual income was around $300k and you have a collection of all the prime cards from AMEX and the other tier 1 banks, why do you have subprime cards like Capital One on your report? I have to tip my hat off to you on working hard on all of the "top-dog" credit cards that you have but prime creditors don't like to see a report with prime cards and sub-prime cards.

I think they report pretty fast, and how much you spend does not have anything to do with when they post. I know that how much you spend with them reduces your downpayment and then to no down payment. I hve heard of a few people here saying that they reported fast. Give them a call and ask them to explain to you when (or how often) they report to the 3 cb's. But if you have not read this link, please do so, it is very important about "CrownJewels"
https://www.financeglobe.com/SocialNet/forum/showthread.php?t=494&highlight=Crown

Welcome to the Network! Thanks YoYo11 for your help, especially on a Sudnay morning where people feel like their body can no longer function:laugh:

cmathys1, here are two great links for you to read about since I see that you are new.

1. This is a great link where members have shared valuable info about good cards and what they were approved for with the scores they had
https://www.financeglobe.com/SocialNet/forum/showthread.php?t=361&highlight=Nice+cards

2. This thread will help you out with posting and becoming familiar with the site and threads
https://www.financeglobe.com/SocialNet/forum/showthread.php?t=532

3. This link will show you all credit card approvals and denials from members who applied along with scores, income, and comments they made. Also this is where you will put your cards that you were approved or denied for
https://www.financeglobe.com/Finance/credit-card-status.shtml

4. If you have any question about a particular credit card, please put it here for faster responses, or you can go to th thread of that particular credit card
https://www.financeglobe.com/SocialNet/forum/showthread.php?t=402

5. This link is for YOU, when you are ready to apply for a card. It will narrow your search for cards that are available according to your credit score. It really have helped out a lot of us. There are so many cards in this database and to search one by one would be stressful
https://www.financeglobe.com/ScoreMatch/

I can tell you that Travelocity is a pretty cool card for those who has dings on their cr. I have seen people denied for Hooters one month and approved for it a few months later. Dont be discouraged because you are going to run across that action many of times. Also give Credit One a try, they are pretty cool also.

Hope this helps!

Hey everyone, I am trying to rebuild after my youthful stupid days. When I was in college I had a Cap One card that was charged off that is still on my credit report as paid for less than full balance. Before finding this website I applied for and recieved a Rewards 660, First Premiere, and Tribute cards about 3 months ago. I have a truck that is financed through Cap One with a co-signer that I have paid on time for 6 months now. What I would like to know is if anyone knows if Cap One gives second chances on their cards? I have applied for a Hooters card and was declined. My exp scores have risen from 541 to 601 in the last 3 months! I still need to check the other bureaus.

Hello! Try Orchard/HSBC/Household (same company). Go to their website and see if your are pre-approved. The let you know before you complete a full application and before they do a hard hit on your credit. CapOne is the same..they let you know if you are pre-approved before applying. Let us know the outcome!

Orchard isn't considered as a card that's reasonable with CLI's neither is FPB.

Macy's and Capital One are great cards for rebuilding credit and receiving CLI's.

I agree with you. My Macys card CLI from $200 to $700. My Cap1 from $300 to $800. Waiting for the other accounts to age and get a CLI.
