Well they did cut the a/f in half so I would keep it. I hope in a year I will have better cards and if I do, this one will go away when it is time to pay the a/f again. Who knows, maybe the Orchard will go away and I will keep this one:cheesing: It will depend on which a/f is higher. Right now Orchard is higher. Could be going away soon? With First Premier? Only time can tell.....

Now wait a minute, in that case, HSBC and Sears must have some ties together because I was denied for the Sears card and HSBC didn't even think twice about me. I guess their system blew up after I applied

No they don't. If you apply for the Citi Sears card and get denied, HSBC automatically reviews your app to see if they can approve you for a card. I guess its a way Sears has to make sure almost everyone who comes in and applies for credit becomes a Sears customer. Also it is good at Kmart.

Kmoney] I think the Rep I spoke w/ on 06/05/2008 just didnt do it correctly.

I called about an hr ago and spk w/ some guy who was having a hard time explaining what happened. I told him how I had prev called in to not auto upgrade and how they STILL DID! He was like "did you call in to opt out of CLI?" IM LIKE "NO" (thats why I didnt the prev rep didnt do it rite)!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know he didnt know what he was talkin about because each time I asked a question... He was like "HELLO? I cant hear you... are you still there"... (my cell does not have bad reception). Funny thing it only happened when I asked a question... Not when I was discussing normal things. He went on to saying how good it is to have an Access Line, how the CL DOES REPORT... I told him I was looking at my report and he got quiet and then said... "Hello? Ms. Rivas, you still there? There must b a bad connection".... I just kept telling him to undo the upgrade... And hes goes on to talking nonsense.... So I just hang up!

So now im just gonna wait for an answer and call them back later.

I applied for the Walmart card on July 21st, today I was out and a message was left in my answering machine to please call in reference of the application in the next 72 hours because needed to finish processing it. ( Said needed information) But with the number the lady left (888-508-6678) I can not get though. Do they call to tell you the application has been denied?

Try going online to Walmart and look for a contact number there. Hope this helps you

A few months ago around the end of May... I received a letter telling me that my Chase Freedom Card was going to be automatically upgraded to a Chase Freedom Signature Card on 07/02/2008....

I called 06/05/2008 and politely declined the upgrade.

I got my new statement closing date

Can banks do that if you decline an upgrade and they still do it anyway? Is that legal?
