I forgot to say in my last post that while I was on the phone with them that they asked me for my full SS# and Bday to verify my acct ownership. Then they asked for my mother's maiden name as a security question. The name was too long so they asked me to set up a password/pin.
I called in a few weeks ago and they did not go through this procedure. I guess we WAMU customers are finally being integrated fully into their system. That may also explain that when I called them the first time to switch my acct type that they flat out denied me.

I just got off the phone with Chase. I asked them to change my card into a Chase Freedom but they denied me. The would not give me a reason. Then I asked them what would in the future make me eligible, which they replied that they did not know. Chase did say that I qualified for a few other cards, among those, the Chase Perfect Card. I switched my acct to the Chase Perfect Card.
I asked when I would get a new card, and the rep said that I could expect one soon as the new JPMorganChase cards are being mailed out March 15-April 22.

I have the WAMU Visa Platinum and I bank with Chase for personal, savings and business accounts.
I called to inquire about the rewards offerings given that the WAMU visa allowed me to track credit score.
I was told that I could choice the PerfectCard, Freedom Card or Points. I chose the Perfectcard as it had 6% gas rewards (90 days; 3% thereafter) and 1% on all other purchases. No AF. The WAMU card will log the points and the cashback can be used either for reduction of account balance or cash. That works for me as I do a considerable amount of driving (weekend warrior)
I called the back of my WAMU card to inquire. That was it. No credit inquiry as I was just wanting to participate in reward offering.

I think that they may not allow Wamu cardholders to convert. When I called on the phone, they said that I would have to apply for another card. I think the rep on the phone was either lazy or didn't have the knowledge to do it.
I sent them a msg and I will let you guys know what response I got.

Interjack, yes I used to have an ESPN Visa and Chase converted it to a Chase Flexible Rewards Visa which I didn't want. The upgrade/conversion process was all handled by e-mail and when I checked my account this morning, I saw the Chase PerfectCard info so I knew it wasn't a joke.

I e-mailed Chase last week and had them convert my Chase Flexible Rewards Visa to the Chase PerfectCard since I prefer cashback over points. Does anyone have this card? If you do, can you share some experiences you've had with the card?
Thanks.
I called Chase and inquired about converting my Wamu Platinum to a Chase Freedom and they said that it could not be done and that offers to change my account were proactive. Were your cards originally Wamu?

Haven't heard great stories about Chase but I guess we will see their true colors within the next few months.

So now that all WaMu credit card accounts are under Chase, the internet servicing site has also changed to Chase Online. The new site seems very user friendly without the FICO score : ( But My cards are listed as Chase Flexible Rewards. With the conversion Ive already accumulated so many reward points from past purchases. Yet I still have and use the WaMu cards. My Cashback Rewards and Mypoints points are no longer eligible in the cards. Just thought I'd give some FYI.

Wamu just renewed my visa credit card. The expiration date was May 2009. The new date is February '09 to May 2010. I thought that the card was supposed to be converted to a chase card. Why did I receive another Wamu card?
It is likely that your card was involved in the Heartland compromise. They probably needed to re-issue an account quickly and before the conversion to Chase.

Is anyone liking the new Chase Online Banking for WaMu customers. Today I was able to use my existing username and password to login.
Anyone know when we will be able to switch credit products...ie wamu--->chase freedom?
Im already familiar with the chase website since I have checking/savings/chase flex and chase freedom and now the wamu card. I love how I can look at all of them at the same time!!!!!!
