Mine never said that it will be changed if I meet the criteria, it just stated mine will be changed when my old card expires, I'm at 683 right now for the last 2 months, so I guess I wont make that if it doesn't reach there criteria
My letter states that too, to be exact it says] "When your existing card expires, you will receive a new Chase card, subject to continuing to meet our credit criteria[/I]".

They should honor that promise after buying WaMu for pennies per share.
One would hope. I don't have anything against Chase but I am not liking the fact that the consumer is losing our options for competing banks. Here in Denver we are losing WaMu and Wachovia only to add more Chase and Wells Fargo's. This is one of the major reasons I do most of my banking with a local Colorado owned bank instead. I do have an online BofA checking account though.

So does that mean I will eventually have two Flexble Rewards credit cards because I have a standard WaMu Platinum and the MyPoints?????
Cireone, I dont think they will issue two Chase Flexible Rewards, possible just a Chase Plat and the Chase Flex.
Ive had the Chase Flexible Rewards for two years now and I have had the Chase Freedom for about 1 year. On all my notices, it didnt say which card it was gonna be converted to, maybe its gonna b just a Chase Platinum Card.

I received a similiar e-mail this morning about how Chase is going to discontinue the ESPN Visa program and going to convert it to the Chase Flexible Rewards card. I don't like dealing with points so hopefully they will allow me to convert it to a Freedom card.

Yes but what I found out from a financial ad visor friend of mine is if you merge accounts all that history you had with that particular card is squashed, meaning if i merged an account with 2 boa cards and my more recent one started in 2008, that means my credit report is going to show this good account since 2008, not since whatever the date I originally had my first card say 2002. Does anyone know if this is true, because to me it makes since honesttlly, so merging the card could actually hurt your fico.

I received notice that my account is now owned by Chase and some mention about something regarding the complete transition will occur in March (I really haven't read it thoroughly), but no change in apr, thus far. I really liked my Wamu, but I don't particularly care for Chase. I guess time will tell. I also received an wamu email alert informing me that my credit card account access is moving to Chase OnlineSM, effective March 9, 2009.
but as far as i know its not going to be free anymore that is a pay service right? the credit score, im guessing that is a thing of the past
