Wamu

Yes its only a gas card and $480 is more than enough for gas. Guess I can't look for this one to help with my overall utilization ratio. Chevron is more liberal with their credit limits.

Well this is good to know rivasglo and they said you will be able to view and access all of your Chase accounts under your user name. Maybe the change won't be so bad and I'll change my views about Chase, but I just don't like the fact they do hard pulls whenever you request a limit increase, even on my BP card, geeeeeeez

Is this a gas card only? If so, they may feel that a $480 CL is generous enough for a gas card.

Not to mention that I've had this card for almost two years without any automatic increases. I dare not ask them for one again.

That's what I plan to do, but in the meantime, I will be paying mines off, because unlike Wamu, I think Chase will start to panic if you start getting too close to your limit. I used to use my Wamu a lot, because my apr is only 9.9, so far that hasn't changed and I hope it doesn't.

On my Chase Flex, I ALWAYS come close to the CL. I started w/ $500 (my first card ever), always maxed it out but always paid big chucks off. Then I got CLI to $800 in 3 months, then to $1300, then to what it currently sits at $1600. To this day my balance is at 81% utilization!!!!! I on the other hand have not had problems w/ CLD or APR Increases w/ Chase. The day I do it will b hell on earth. For my Chase Freedom, my util is low cause the CL is $5500 (its my highest CL).

I was required to change my username today when I logged into my WaMu account. I want to b able to link it to where I see my checking/savings and two other CCs. Maybe once they completly convert I will b able to.

Thats true and my letter that I receved indeed had the wording of "if you continue to meet our credit criteria." although the letter was not in the same format as what was shown on this thread, thats why I didnt think it said it. So basically that means that most of man of the WaMu credit card holders have big chance of NOT having a credit card with Chase. Isnt it that you had to not have filed bankruptcy and no baddies to meet the criteria????

I'm afraid to say this but don't count it. Now that Chase owns our accounts, I think they have the right to set new terms which includes new interest rates. They raised my interest from 16.24% to 17.24%. :worried:

Let's see what happens in March when the Chase conversion goes into full effect. I received a brochure demonstrating the features of the Chase Flexible Rewards Visa and it didn't impress me at all. I just hope they keep my account because it's another $2k in my wallet.

I received the same letters too. My WaMu card really helps out on my overall utilization as it has a zero balance. I really want to change this card into a Chase Freedom card.

Same here.

Here's a copy of them in no particular order.

That's the one I received too. So I guess its just a formality. Not everyone is receiving the same letter though, some have received letters stating that they're account(s) were being closed (read on another forum). Thanks Rivasglo, I'm not as insulted as I was before, maybe I just read too much into things.

Rivasglo does your notice have the same language as mine does about if you still meet our credit criteria? Mine didn't say which particular Chase card product it would be converted to either

Most consumers believe it ends up with good credit. They don't think about how they're going to pay make payments if they lose their job. They depend on their credit to refinance to lower payments in a time like this but instead of depending on your credit, you should build many sources of income so if one fails, you can lean on the others. That is currently what I'm doing and I will flip burgers at Burger King if I have to in order to put money away for the future.

I agree ColoNative, its not our fault that Wamu made bad business decisions, but then its not Chase's either. Either way, I just don't care for Chase, I liked Wamu.

WaMu did have a good business model, they were a friendly bank. I just don't understand how nobody did not see this coming. Asking $400,000 for a starter home (more in CA etc) was ridiculous. It is like nobody learned anything from the S&L crisis just 20 years ago.

Having good credit needs to mean something again. If you don't have good credit, you don't have a house that simple. And then housing prices would be more afordable to the general public.

But yeah, no more WaMu, no more Wachovia, no more National City. It is depressing.
