What is a hidden tradeline? It sounds scary, did I make a mistake applying to this card?I think that's one of the cards that's a hidden tradeline. I applied for my UMB Linux Foundation Visa through that site and it was indeed a hidden TL. And no, they are still accepting new applications.

So if they are all blocking CLI, I guess they are also not opening new accounts, are they?
Yes, they are. They are also honoring the Credit Steps program also but they have stopped granting CLI's every six months following the Credit Steps CLI's.

Do you know if PartnersFirst is blocking new applications?
What do you think of this card and of PartnersFirst?

Well I guess I should not have done that. Oh well... Too bad for them, they just won't make more money with my transactions. My bank can be happy since I will keep making transactions with their debit card.Listen to the man, Dobb. Right now we should all be sitting high and tight until at least this time next year. A lot of banks are taking any opportunity to close down an account.

Who's the creditor? It's better to be safe than sorry so I wouldn't ask for one to begin with.

Mine was close to the limit when I asked and got refused, but as usual, I will pay it off completely at the end of the month.

Arg...
I just tried asking for a Capital Limit Increase on my Cap1 card, but they refused. It is my only card I had it for 1 year and 3 months, and I always paid my balance in full on time every month... I originally had a $300 that they automatically raised to $500 after 3 months.
Cap1 has stopped giving CLI's to everyone due to the recession.
