Target has been stingy with cli's every since I have been on FG. Don't hold your breath for them. Yes, GEMB is Select Comfort financial backer. I have not had a problem with them every since I opened the account back in Dec 07. The only minor problem that I did have was they opened my account and then put down that I was over the limit by $169 (something like that). What happened was my approval was for $2k but the bed came to $2169, instead of taking my money up front, the guy said that I did not need to pay anything because I am approved. Yeah right, til I got home and saw it on my credit report a couple of weeks later. They fixed the issue for me, but I was very upset at them. Other than that, they are cool with me.

Thanks for the information Meya. GEMB hasn't been kind to me at all - EVERY card (2) I've applied for with them turned me down. When i call to ask for information - like how long are you to punish me for filing bankruptcy? It was discharged 3 years ago and I have good credit since then.

Oh well I guess I'll have to find another way to get a Select Comfort bed - saving the - old fashioned way still works!

So Meya, does your Select Comfort bed offer great sleep every night? I've been having a lot of trouble sleeping lately - I bought a down bed topper that helped for a while - finally had to resort to ambien - what a difference. Can't take it every night though - can't get addicted to sleeping pills!

Anybody know anything about Target CLI? I've had their card since late Sept 08 - always PIF, didn't use at all in December 08 and still at the same 200 CL?

Also, Select Comfort offers a card?!!!! Please tell me GEMB is not handling their card? I've been thinking about buying a new mattress for a minute and even went into their store, but I decided to leave before I got to another bed that was even more comfortable!!!!

It doesn't, you have to call to get your balance. I wonder why the last credit rep I spoke with told me that they no longer did automatic increases, since wildrage2, the way you received your increase is in complete contrast with the info he gave. He said they no longer did them, because a lot of customers got upset and didn't always want increases. Hmmmmmm.

To be honest, I just stopped using it for about 3 months. I've had it since last March, and I was using it heavily and paying it in full. For the past 3 months I just left a $200 balance on it, didn't charge anything, and made small payments ($20-40). I only realized that it was increased when I checked my credit report. It's crazy how Macy's goes through so much to hide your credit limit. They don't tell you at the stores when you pay your bill...you can't see it online, and it's not on your bill...you have to physically call the number.

Yeah I noticed that too about Macy's. I don't even think the automated system even tells you I think you have to talk to a live person. Correct me if I'm wrong here.

I wonder if this is true for Rooms to Go (mine was issued by GEMB) cardholders too, ColoNative. There's only so much furniture you can buy, lol

They are probably a little more flexible with those sorts of cards. They issue the Selec Comfort card too. They can't expect people to buy a new Selec Comfort bed every two years. :white-flag:

Macy's bumped me from $300 to $1000 this month...about time lol.quote]

I know you and I were in the same Macy's boat too (with getting the 100 CLI every three months). At the end of this month is my next 3 month cycle with them, I am just going to wait until the cycle closes and call for an increase (maybe I can jump up to the 1000 too).

sw33t! BofA rocks!
I got my credit limit increased to $600. That was too fast. Opened bank account online and had $$ from debit card transferred on Saturday. Monday, account approved and opened. Tuesday $325 in account and called to have credit limit increased (said 3 business days). Thursday, credit limit increased from $300 to $600.

Bank of America is AWESOMELY FAST! Gonna stay with them for some time, especially since FICO 08 is released.
