Wait a minute, some of those inq needs to drop (disputed) because they only stay on for 2 years (sometimes less). Whatever baddie that you had for 8 years needs to be disputed also because it only suppose to last for 7 years after they first reported it delinquent (unless it is a judgment, that last for 10 years). You say you have 6 inq with 3 years, how many are from June 30, 2008 to June 30, 2009? How many were approvals/denials. My reason for asking is because not only can the inq impact your chances, new accounts can also.
Here is the pre-approval link for Bofa https://preapproved.bankofamerica.com/cc/SelfInquiry.aspx
Here is the pre-approval link for Amex dusty.....neva mind:laugh: https://www201.americanexpress.com/secure/my-special-offers
Exactly never mind for the trashy AMEX

https://preapproved.bankofamerica.com/cc/SelfInquiry.aspx[/URL] you gave me before did not work for me and my mom as well (her scores are]first, i would like to thank you for your help - i have less than 6 inquiries within 3 years - some negative items more than 3 years ago and oldest is 8 years long and absolutely no late payments, collection or bankruptcy recently - the website
Crazy. The link works for me, or did you mean after you entered your info they did not pre-approve you for anything?
Like Meya said, inquiries only stay for 2 years so if you have any inquiries from 2006 still on your bureau (and thru 6/07) you should dispute those. And as Meya said, anything over 7 years old (bad info) should have fallen off too. I would clear those up before you apply for anything new.
As far as BofA declining your mom and then approving (or other way around?) it just depends on what is on the credit report at the time. Perhaps your mom had some inquiries that fell off the second time she applied or she had high utilization the first time she applied and then the second time around her balances were lower and then got approved.

Those are actually good scores. Do you have any baddies? How many inquiries? How long is your credit history?

You will need to enter your information, don't worry it is a soft inquiry (only you will see the inquiry on your credit report). This is a good way to see if you are pre-approved for anything at BofA. Some other banks ofer this as well. I am pretty sure Capital One has this functionality.
I really wouldn't apply for anything though if you have too many inquiries.

This is the only thing I can think of because those are good scores. Also, high utilization will cause a decline
Exactly, the banks are already gunshy these days but you are right, if they see high utl and massive inquiries they will decline.....

Was wondering if anybody could tell me if you HAVE to HAVE a membership with Costco to get the True Earnings Card..? All help would be appreciated
Yup. The application won't be approved until Amex verifies your membership with Costco. You can apply for both the card and membership from Amex's website.
