Wow! I just was reading over my online statement for my Elan College Rewards card, and found that my limit was raised from $1,000 to $1,400 without request. Also I never received notice... or haven't yet? Who knows, but I am happy.

They will. I have never had a problem with Citibank. Within reason, they will do whatever it takes to make a cardholder happy. Can't wait to hear what you do in March/April in terms of an upgrade.

Well the luv button appeared for the first time . On my Shell Platinum Select Mastercard so you know I had to hit it! The CLI was $800 so now CL it is $1300. Citibank has defintely been good to me lately.

Congratulations on the increase! for a while though Citi was closing a limited number of co-branded gas cards for reasons of their own. my Citibank card is the main card i use for most of my purchases and bills because they have been good to me also.

hello guys, i know i've been hiding lately, :cool:got that 2nd credit steps today....go Cap1!

I just called Orchard Bank today and asked if I would be reviewed soon for a CLI. They told me that they are currently not doing any auto-reviews but they could submit a request right now for a CLI. I told them I didn't want to be charged a fee to get a CLI and she told me that they did charge fees for CLIs in the past but they are no longer doing that. I do believe they do a hard pull though Oh well, after well over a year I finally got a CLI with them. Hooray or boo? I don't know what to think yet.

Congrats to all who have received the CLI's from Target and others ! I have another spin though. Could it be that these increases are given because the holiday season is approaching and Target, as well as others are hoping that you will take this increased credit line and turn around and purchase more products, thus making their profit margin more than what is expected in this last quarter ? From Target and other lender's standpoint, is the risk worth the possible windfall ? Of course increased consumer spending helps the economy and puts people back to work but not at the expense of increased personal debt

All of you have worked very hard with your credit and tha's great, no one deserves it more than this community ! Hopefully all of us will not give into temptation and continue our wise and thriftful spending to make those CLI's work to our benefit and continue to grow our scores !

WOW!!! All this credit line increasing may mean there is life in them thar banks...! GADS... If the CEO's can get raises, why NOT the rest?!
