Just received an email from Amex saying they had increased my limit from $8500 to $9900, without me even asking. You'd think they'd go the extra $100 to make it round number

Congrats on your increase. Yeah, I would have wanted the extra $1K for an even $10K too, but $1,400 increase from Amex who only last year was decreasing limits is a good sign.

I've had my Costco Amex for 14 months and have asked for 2 increases previously, both were accepted

Hey everybody I am happy to report after many, many clicks of the luv button for Pennys finally got an increase today from 1000 to 1500 card had a balance of 581 when I requested the increase. The highest balance I have ever had on this card make me wonder if they would not give me an increase before because I was not utilizing the credit line I already have. Just a thought.

How long have you had the account open before you tried it? I got one for $400 2 months ago, I used $200 on it and pif, wondering if I should hit the luv button on the 4th month or just wait for a auto increase... I've heard there good with increases...

On a side note you can also use your Penny's card at Rite aid and CVS stores just like a regular credit card... weird because it's not even a mastercard or visa...

WOW! I went after the "luv" button. JCPenney increased me from $1,800 CL to $2,400 CL.

HSBC American Express Card (has 1.25 points for every dollar spent) increased from $8,000 CL to $10,000 CL (9.9% APR).

While the HSBC Platinum Master Card (has 1.00 dollars earned for every dollar spent) increased from $6,000 CL to $7,500 CL (13.9% APR).

Note : JC Penney (GE Money Bank Card) increased me in May 2009 from $1,000 CL to $1,800 CL while HSBC AX increased me from $6,500 CL to $8,000 CL in May 2009 and HSBC MC increased me from $4,000 CL to $6,000 CL in May 2009. Hey hey hey... have treated me right.

Wow, get out of here! Gone with your bad self. My husband asked for a cli on his HSBC Mastercard and they denied him, said the will send the usual letter for reason of denial. I don't think he had the card quite 6 months yet.

Wow 2,000 CLI that is a pretty good increase for any card company. Let alone one of the most conservative banks of all HSBC. Congratulations on the CLI they definately like you!

Replied by ashes on topic CLI from HSBC Mastercard

I used the luv button yesterday on my HSBC mastercard and theyinstantly gave me a $2000 CLI. Yes, they still have the CLI lub button on my account. I went from $7000 to $9000. They like me for some reason.:cheesing: This is the HSBC Platinum Mastercard with CashBack or Fly Rewards card.

I don't use the card too often. 1% cash back isn't good enough anymore. Well this is the only card of mine under $10k CL now. I was hoping they would get me to 5 figures. I guess I will have to wait another year or something.

Are you sure they're not issued through Toyota Financial Services?

hjm331 you're correct they are backed by Toyota Financial Savings Bank. I have heard that the accounts are managed by US Bank. As for credit limit on my Toyota Rewards Card it is now $3600. I read on the website for the card the highest available CL is $25,000.I hope this card grows with me I've got a little way to go before I reach $25,000. lol!! They also offer a signature version of this card. I hope this helps!
