Basically, you have to separate what your needs and wants are. I NEED credit if I want to buy a nice home and drive in the nice car in the future and raise a family. I WANT electronics but since I can't afford them anytime soon, I won't buy it because when I do have good credit or afford to finance those products, I will buy them.

We wouldn't be in a recession if all consumers thought the same way.
You are so right! There always seems to be a sense of urgency with spending money, almost as if a delay in some material possession is connected to breathing and sustaining life- i.e., big screen TV's, expensive clothing, more electronic gadgets, etc. Look at the number of people that line up for hours each time Apple releases yet another iPhone - hmmmmm, does it somehow make their old phone less useful if you really want to just get a phone call? My daughter laughs at me because the only time I get a new cellphone is when I'm eligible for a discounted upgrade - she then gets it when I tell her I'll get a new phone with the money I was going to give you for a textbook for your history class.

Hello all I have two increases to report $350 from Aspen for a total credit line of $1,000. I am also on the $100 dollar train from Macy's went from $100 to $200 today. Spoke to rep at Dillard's she told me to wait another month, that if I waited it would not be a hard pull has anyone else heard of this?
Increases are always cool around here. How's everything going with your Aspen card? You haven't gotten any type of flack from that bank, have you? Their customer service is a little tough to deal with.....

Dillard's is run by Gemb and just like with the Walmart card like to see at least a four month payment history before giving a cli and after that another four months.
That's correct. Jay1, how long has it been since your last CLI? Has it been longer than 4 months?
