I also have a Macy's card, but rarely use it. It is great for Macy's purchases though.

Macys Store Card - Requested Credit Limit Increase - Approved increase from a CL of $2600 to $4600. I think Macys is one of the best credit cards to use for establishing and even rebuilding credit. I have had this account for just near 2 years and I have some generous increases along the way. I make a sizable purchase (but yet manageable to my budge) every few months, pay the balance in full within one or two billing cycles.

Thanks for the post SAR1954, that looks like a great card. I do not have any CapitalOne cards, but I have heard they have excelled customer service.

Capital One Quicksilver Cash Rewards CC, initial credit line $3k, online request for CLI, credit line increased to $6500. Capital One treats their good to excellent credit customers very well. This card is only three months old. The initial three months I made heavy use of this card and quickly paid it in full. Now it’s resting.

That is great news. I assume you are going to take the upgrade? I would recommend doing so.

Hi RSTY99, was there any additional fees with the Walmart MasterCard? What did you end up doing?

Walmart just mailed me that I have been upgraded to the Walmart MasterCard from the Walmart Store card. I didn't request this and they do offer if I don't want the upgrade to call and say I want to stay with the store card. I am taking the conversion.

If you regularly spend money at Kohls I would recommend it so you can keep your utilization limit down.

My husband and I have a pretty substantial amount of credit with some reputable companies, but my most recent increase offer is from Kohl's, the department store. I've been debating about accepting it because I don't really need it, but it would be nice to have the spending flexibility there.

Good Morning,
I started off with a $500 secured card. They unsecured the card and made my limit $1000. A week later 7/30/15, I decided to hit the increase my limit button and they raised my limit to $9000. They also trusted me 6 months ago with another unsecured NRewards card and my limit for that one is $5000. I make great money, but I am just out of a Chapter 13 BK in May 2014. I have been on this site and first established my credit by applying for store cards and looking here to see what cards are easy approvals. I probably need to "garden" but I don't know where to begin. My current credit score is 630-EX. Thanks so much for all of your insight guys!!
