Oh, really? I figured they had some lenient credit requirements because they started bugging me about six months after I got the card. Maybe they've loosened up in the past couple of years.

I have a $600 line of credit with Kohl's and they have been after me to increase it to $1,000. I didn't want the card in the first place; the only reason I got it was for all the extra discounts. I know credit increases are normally a good thing, but in this case I wish they would stop pestering me about it.

Do you purchase a lot of items from Lowes? Curious why you went with a Lowes card.

Lowes Store CC, I have had this card for 2 months now, used a small amount and paid it off quickly. The initial credit limit was $3k. I checked it this morning and it was automatically increased to $6k.

The best way to accumulate credit cards points is through the sign-on bonuses. As long as you do not excessively apply for new credits cards, you should get a free flight every couple of years.

Requested CLI over the phone, $2500 increased to $5K. I have had this account for three months now, but have had other good standing accounts with BoA. Also, first three months of having this card I have made heavy use of it, and have PIF. Seems to be the best way to get significant increases.

So far my experience has been, if you want to fly to a prime location you have to have A LOT of points. Example to Hawaii from where I live, they want $100K Points. I am barely at 50K, maybe in about 20 years from now I will be able to get at least one free worth while ticket.

The auto increases are very nice, and they should really help your utilization %.

What is your opinion of using American Airlines rewards? It is easy to redeem, and do they have any blackout dates?

Barclay AAirlines CC online CLI requested, went from $2500 to $3750 (increase of $1250). I have had this card for well over a year, made heavy use of it, PIF several times, and as of now I have a zero balance, I have kept my overall utilization low. My thoughts, Barclay is very reserved on the CLI requests.
