What are you limits and scores? The only time Macys gave me $100 was when I opened back up with them in 11/2007.

You might need to do what I did in the beginning. Buy a lot of stuff (always within your limit) and PIF immediately. You'll be amazed at how much love they will show. The Visa, of course is a different animal. That's Citi, and they got their own reindeer games going on.

It might be based on how you spend. I dunno about the west coast, but there are a good number of Macys stores in my area, including the famous one in NYC (Herald Square). I tend to spend at minimum $1000-$1500 yearly with them. I have $1100 to go before I gets me my black card (Elite). I'm at Platinum now. I tend to get clothes and shoes (Rockports...so classy yet so comfortable) because they have excellent sales.

They are pretty much between Walmart/Target (ok, ok, Target is definitely higher than Walmart, but when talking about Macys, I will lump them together) and Bloomingdales/Saks/Nieman Marcus/ etc. I have NO problem being a loyal Macys customer. They are the only business I burned from back in the day that gave me a second chance. (Plus they are my oldest account).

As of today, Macys gave a brotha some luv with an extra $700. I now have $2900 with them. Tried to do the same with Bloomies in the same phone call and it was not going to be good until July. So end of August I will try again for Macys and Bloomies. Macys really came clutch cause I just lost $750 with Hooters, so this $700 brings me back to almost even.

Macy's started me at $200 last march, and it sat there until they knocked me up to $800 this January. I called to get account information today, and realized that I had $1800 worth of available credit...they knocked me up again to $2000 without even asking .

I call macys faithfully every 3 months, i have never recieved an auto cli from them i guess becuz ive never given them a chance.

I wonder at some point if they will pull my credit report to get one of those high limits.

havent recieved an increase from hooters i think since last august. Has anyone else had their limit increased
