Call them and ask if they can grant you an increase over the phone.

When they give me a CLI, it's never a hard inquiry and the increase shows up on my account right away even though they suggest it may take 24 hours.

You are correct HJM331, they do not do any hard pulls (unless you are applying for new accounts), and the new cli shows up instantly on mines too.

I asked about the hard inquiry and he the rep stated that they do not do hard pulls unless its for opening new accounts. So hopefully it wasnt. I feel as if he was still new because he was taking some time to find things out.

They probably don't, I just can't figure out the whole 3 day turn around, unless it has to go to a department that is Mon-Fri and they were off because of the holiday?

I usedt backdoor # today for y Cap1 account to see if I was eligible for a CLI. On my No Hassles Visa I was flat out denied, but on my Standard Platinum Mastercard I was old it would take three days to fnd out a decision. Keep in mind that the calls were done on seperate occassions, with different senior account reps, but within the same day. I would like to know if anyone was given the three day response or is it essentially a denial in another nicer form????????

Nope, I was either approved right away or declined right away (through the VRU CLI option-I don't know if that exists anymore).

3 day turn around? I hope they did not pull a hard inquiry.

Thats cool HJM. Nice way to build a relationship w/ them.

I dont have any high bills to pay like a car note just rent lol...

I do charge my groceries, utilities and gas on my Chase Freedom because I get 3% cash back on my top 5 categories... I end up w. like 20-30 cash back each statement. Im up to $139 and when in a few months ill b up to $200 and when I do, I will be able to redeem a check for $250!!!!!!! Yay! Free money

Isn't it great? Of course, I use mine for boring things like license plate fees....

Actually, I use about $1,100 a month. My truck note is about $700 and my mom's new camry is about $400 a month.

Oy vey. Two Toyotas. I like the new Camry, it is the first one that really deserved all the raves it has been getting for 10 years IMHO.

That is smart, I have done that before too, though not for my car. But, that is good for utilization. You use $500 a month on a Capital One check and then turn around and pay it in full, they will like you.
