honeyb, thanks for the good information. But, that is a bummer.... I have to pay off my balance with them (02/08/09) and that was going to be my 3rd to 4th statement where Credit Steps was supposed to increase me to 450 like yours.
That's ok though, I will wait till credit steps finishes on that card (May) and call their back line for an increase.
Just don't give up on them. All good things in time.

I called today but they said they didn't have any CLI offers for me.
How about those BofA's? Have you had any auto CLI's from them yet?

Okay er'body - looks like C1 has gotten hip to the game where we call in after our 2nd or 3rd statement, get a nice CLI and then we get our additional Credit Steps increase amount. No more of that, they are pro-rating the Credit Steps increases.
For example, If you were to receive on your Credit Steps $450 on your 4th statement and you called in and received a cli for $300 before your Credit Steps, then on your 4th statement you would receive only $150 which will total the $450 you would have received. Get it? I have read on other forums where this is happening to other people as of last week and lo and behold, yes they pro-rated mine as well. Glad to have it but just wanted to make sure I let everyone know so it does not come as a unpleasant surprise.

Yup, if they don't, dispute! Make sure it is 7 yrs after they first said it was a c/o.

I have a Citi credit card that was stolen but is still showing "charge off" and then showing again as "account closed, stolen card."
Also have a personal loan that went into default when I moved. Its also charged off. These two have been keeping me stuck in one place concerning my credit scores. I believe that they are close to the 7 year mark on my report so shouldnt it drop when it does?????
Citi has not offered me a regular credit card since, but I got the Macys, Exxon, and Shell since which are all issued or financed through Citi.

Any creditor will deny you for that reason, but just hold on, you will get one from them. The older the delinquency, better your chances. That goes for tier one (like Citibank) cards also. How old are your baddies if you don't mind me asking?(accounts too recent, balances high, serious delinquencies on other accounts). Are they getting more stringent with their CLI requests???????

So I got my two letters from Cap1 concerning my CLI request. For my No Hassles Visa I was given the "account history has not reached 6 months" statement. But for my Standard Platinum I recieved what I percieve as a real denial (accounts too recent, balances high, serious delinquencies on other accounts). The latter is a first that Ive seen for a CLI denial from Cap1. Are they getting more stringent with their CLI requests???????

don't have the number on me but a person picks up automatically. He transfered me to a manager and he said it's only done once in a three month period. I verifed that its pertaining to the credit steps and he understood...but no increase..did your statement print out yet?
