Has anyone used Bank of America Privacy Assist Premier? I have a trial with two other's monitoring/credit score companies which I don't think I will be keeping and since I now have both a BofA card and a checking account I just wanted to know if anyone has used this service and if you have used this service how would you rate it?

I kind of think that they have different scores and some people maybe are trying to pressure you with what your score is. I guess you need to know which score the bank or lender you're going to use believes in -- and see if you're good on that particular one. It's all pretty confusing to me.

I don't think I have heard of them. I know that gardyman was talking about myfico being in big time trouble and that thier scores are not acurate as we think they are.

There was an article in the Wall Street Journal about credit score monitoring sites sometime last week -- saw the headline but don't remember when. Anyway one of the places they mentioned was creditKarma.com
Anybody ever used them?

I used privacymatters123...my scores were better than expected...are they really not too accurate???because I applied for a mortgage refinance and was denied saying my credit score was a 488???????found out they went through equifax..found privacy matters 123 just 1 week ago and it said equifax was 582??? is this privacymatters just giving a guestimate or was the refinance company just not interested in me when they had heart failure when they seen my credit report !!!! the refinance co pulled the report 3/25..I signed up for privacy matters on sunday 4/13... couldn't have gone up 96 points in 19 days!!!!!!!!!!!! or was it just behind on updates when they pulled the report at the finance co?
also how many points deduction or plus are things worth? like each on time payment each month? I thought I heard 2 points for each on time but there has to be a limit somewhere or you could end up with a score of like 10000 some day??
lol....

well Meya it makes sense to me. When you get your score from EQ it is NOT your fico score, it is a FAKO. So if credit keeper is getting the score from EQ, that should answer it. It is still a FAKE score.
The score you saw on the MYFICO site is your REAL score.
Lets say you apply for a credit card today and they use your EQ report. The score the bank will get will NOT be the same score you will get from creditkeeper. The bank will pull your score as a FICO and not whatever EQ is selling to you.

I just pulled mycreditkeeper for the last time and called to cancel right after. They gave me 652 for my score and they tried their hardest to tell me that they got it from eq itself. Ok myfico says it is 643, what in the heck is going on here? I told them that I know that myfico are giving out true scores and that they (cc) is giving out fake scores, but they swore up and down that my eq score came from eq itself. Who's lying, the one with the higher score (cc), or the one with the lower score(mf).

Credit Scores moves daily (up and down). It is not an easy process, take my advice because I have been working on mines for four years now. I used to be in the low 400's, now I am, tu, 629, exp 604, and eq 602. With your scores being the way they are, I would not even worry about it.
To establish credit history, that is a different solution. You will have to be with a company for at least 3 years or more. All you have to do is keep your payments up on a regular basis, keep your utilization below 35%, and do not default on none of your cards because one default will turn your report sour from every debitor. I am going to put a link here from the board which can give you more in-depth information. Hope this helps!

Every credit monitoring has their own method of reporting to your files. They are not going to be the same. I have never heard of someone reports being to early, unless they mean that your accounts have not yet reflected their systems. You have nice scores, but I just have one question, "Why didnt you apply for Amex, Discover, Chase, Citibank...etc?" You applied for credit cards for people in the situation I am in (Poor credit). You would have received much higher limits than what you have on the ones you currently posses.
The only thing that I can suggest is that you give it a little more time (BofA) and then call them back for your scores. If they dont want to give it to you then drop them and go to someone else. FG has put some resources of credit monitoring agency's under the "Community Tools" over to your left. Select resource, and go from there.
If you dont mind him331, could you please copy and paste this thread to the forum that states "credit stories for those with good credit? I bet you could get a better answer from someone there. No one has posted their story about the cards and scores there yet. It will be helpful if you could be the first one. Thanks!
PS, you will get an answer here also, there is going to be someone that has experienced your situation before.
