Wow I never heard of a Katrina Disaster accounts closed. I know that Chevron was offering some help for the victims but I am not aware of anyone with disater reliefs. I dont know if that is a good thing or bad. You should call the cb's and ask them how do they rate that on your cr. It looks like a loss from a disaster and they did not expect for recovery. Please do not take my advice on that last part, but I would call in if i was you.

Meya no one got anything from Chevron or any other big name
if it did not come from FEMA you was not going to get anything at all,
i know when i came to Mississippi all i had was what i had on my back and $27 dollars and fema gave me $2000 to start my life over.
there was so many people giving money and the people that needed it never saw a dime. now the people who had nothing before katrina got up to 23,000 and they all got gold teeth and 22" rims and 6 months later had nothing to show for it, people like myself who had a job got $2300.
oh i forgot red cross gave me a 500 dollar debit card.

Maybe you won't be affected by it. Since it is reporting as a Natural Disaster but the only way to truly know is maybe by contacting the CRAs. I am not sure but please if you find something out, keep us posted. Your posting with that comment on it is the first that I have heard of and I am interested to know how the creditors view it.

Yoyo, Bank of America has a free checking account called MyAccess checking. They don't charge you a monthly fee. I'm really happy with it, it's nice and simple.

There is no score that will be close to your true FICO score, that's the way it has always been.

You're right Hjm331, I had creditchecktotal for a while now. I'm thinking about cancelling next month. I believe that I've recieved all the information I'm gonna get. It was a good learning tool..now that I know my finances and printed out each report(daily), I'm gonna take that $19.95 and put in on a credit card. Also gonna cancel that Citi bank account and pay someone's $7 monthly fee LOL!!!:white-flag:

Has anyone used Bank of America Privacy Assist Premier? I have a trial with two other's monitoring/credit score companies which I don't think I will be keeping and since I now have both a BofA card and a checking account I just wanted to know if anyone has used this service and if you have used this service how would you rate it?

TIA,

RWMTD

Yeh, this was the one that made me think my score was in the high 500's but when i ordered my Fico it was only 502, about 50 to 70 point difference. After speaking with the rep at BofA, he told me that they try to get as close as the true FICO scores...but that much off? I cancelled quick fast and in a hurry.:embarrassed:

I used it to have it but I cancelled because I didn't like it. I don't think they allow you to pull your reports. I cancelled it and now I use freecreditreport.com. They update quickly.
