Hello Meya, In my option "brand" really doesn't matter" as long has you have a good warranty, good CS, and a good computer. I know we have talked about flex pays before.

ShopNBC has notebooks / Acer on flex pays...after a $100 rebate a 15.4 $699.

HSN has Gateways on sale. You just missed the 17inch notebook, but the do have 15.4 on sale. Free shipping on flex pay!

HSN Gatway desktops are: 19 in $699 4pymts $174.98
22 in $799 4pymts $199.98
24 in $979 5pymts $195.98
***HD/ TV tuners***

The shipping on the desktops are $49.95 which is included in your first payment. Always order online, that way you won't be charged taxes.

Try QVC..I know they have a few on sale also.

If you have a hard time seeing/ I recommend the 22 inch screen. HSN also have an ACER laptop at $599.94 shipping $8.00 2 flex pay of $299.

Memory is important ..the HSN computers comes with a lot of software already installed and pre-installed. So if you don't want all the pre-installed software give it to a friend.

My computer is a Dell at 2GB / 160GB I have plenty of free space / tons of softwear installed/ plus my work related software.

I just changed DSL to Cable internet so everything runs faster...GOOD LuCK!!!

New egg has pretty cool prices HJM331, I was reading people reviews and got paranoid. I think I need a laptop consultation from you guys. I am not familiar with them and do not know if I need much memory now. I am not going to really do anything with it but

1. FG.....when I am out for a couple of days
2. Homework....That is going to end 4/09
3. Pay bills when out

Basically, that's it! This is why I do not want a fancy one. But here is the down side, I am going back to school after I graduate next year and I am going to change my job career. I will not be able to be on my PC as much because of work and school. That is why I don't want a laptop with less speed, memory, and slow loading. I was reading the consumers feedback about the Acer and they spoke real bad about it on Newegg. Now I am scratching my head. Especially the part about them not having drivers, backup Cd's, and having a hard time to match drivers. :relieved: Heeeeelp!!!!:scared:

Girl HSN, have computers on flex pay...go to www.hsn.com and check out those new labtops....4 to 5 flex pays, you'll be done in a few month paying it off with no APR!!!!!!!

They are pretty steep YoYo11 :relieved: I did not want one all fancy and I have seen some much cheaper at Walmart. I think the flex pay is real cool but I am not trying to spend over a grand for one. The ones that were cheaper has very low GB, Ram, and Memory. By they time I transfered all my homework over to it, I would have to go out and purchase more memory.

Speaking of computer company, I need to purchase a laptop instead of using my sisters all the time. Dell denied me last year, I wonder if they will do it again next year

Not Citibank, CIT Bank. CIT Bank is based in Utah, they're two different banks.

Newegg, new hard inq, CITIBANK:scared:. That's an automatic denial for me. I only have 1 inq (which lead to a new account) this year. I dont want to add anymore to the report this year. I would rather wait until I start next year for the big bang.:innocent:

Meya, if you want to buy a new laptop, you try apply for a Newegg card. They don't report to the credit bureaus which is great because it won't have any impact on your utilization on your credit report. However, the card is offered by CIT Bank which also issues the Dell card. Newegg approved me for their card and gave me a $2k CL to use right away.
