Why did chevron remove all your history? if you closed the account then shouldnt it just appear as closed? Also do they report to all 3 bureaus?

As for me, I am trying to fiqure out why my FAKE scores took a 30 pt drop! :
I called Chevron and told them to hurry up and put my account back on the cr's and to add my history back also. If this is what happened to me then I can't close any more accounts no time soon. Orchard is older than Chevron, good lord, I wonder what would happen when I drop that account? Well, I don't think it will really matter once I get my teir ones in place.

Transunion now 730 apparently i had been pulling FAKO all the while for this one telling me it was 670.

Way to go on the Score Jumping to 715. I guess I will purchase mines around September because that is when all of my inq's will be a little over a year old. Congrats and keep it comming!

Yeah, I tried to dispute something that was accurate and I got the run around. It's one paid collection on my report, and it's from a few year ago, so I figured I'd just wait for it to fall off.

You don't dispute something if it is correct! Hummmm, I need an answer for this one unless it is deleting old addresses.

I would not base the way you try to increase your credit score solely on what people advise in this forum

The rule of thumb which I follow is just be ethical and your rating will also improve and also you'll get some benifits also.

I am so happy that you mentioned this, I started a thread named "FG Guide on How to Repair Your Credit" and it simply explains to us how we can do things by ourselves instead of paying these rip off companies to do so. Dispute them all accurate and inaccurate. Your score does tend to jump slightly soon as u dispute but you must wait till you get a notice of investigation is complete. In my case i can still see the derogs during the investigation but equifax may hide the companies name or something, experian doesn't do anything until investigation is complete. I got them all but 1. that one always gets verified as accurate. It takes a while but it has worked for me.

Once cards goes into dispute, your credit rating will go up. Did you win them all, if not, when they come back as identifying the truth, the scores will fall back down. Don't get me wtong, I am happy for you and wish that many more wil fall off. Depending on what state you are in, the cb's wil take them off, but there in California, you can hang up your coat-tail.

Hi Llay1, are you talking about disputing derog misreported items, or all of them? As a strong statement, nobody is here to win without a fair fight.
