My mother received a $500 CLI last month on her Capital One card. It turned one year old last month and they had started her with $2k when she was first approved for the card. The CLI she received last month brought her CL to $3,750 so she went from $2k to $3,750 in a year which is pretty good.
I'm expecting a $500 CLI next month on my Capital One account which would bring my CL to $4,050. I can't wait to see that on my report.

Well, you are going to see your score drop from the inquiries and new accounts but you will gain them back within 6 months or so. You have to make sure that you use all of those cards once every 2 months so GEMB won't close them for inactivity.

What helped you decide that you need all of these GEMB cards at this point in time?
well i dont think a very rich man (warren buffet) would put his money into ge just for them to cut credit lines and not make money.
its not my reason but its something to think about.

all of my gemb cards are new about a month or 2 old so i dont think they will touch them cause the limits are about as low as the cld that people have been getting so i hope i am safe, i should be lol
and i have not heard about anyone touching new accounts, most that i have been seeing have been about 8 months or older.
most of my cards are under the new terms also thats something to keep in mind.

Pamela, I don't think you should even think about buying that TV until you have money to pay off the current balance or even for all of it including the TV. That would put you in debt and I'm sure you don't want that when you have been working hard on repairing your credit.

I used the card for the last 2 months for some stuff for Christmas and i have never been late or over my limit with this card. Last year i used the heck out of it i probably charged over 500.00 dollars in like 3 months for Christmas and pif and now i have used it alot and pif (some times) and now i wished they would do something because there is some stuff i would love to buy there (a flat screen for my daughter) and its 394.00 and that will put me over my limit because right now i cant afford to pay the balance i have right now off:worried:.

Well i hit my year mark last month with Target and no love from them. I started at 200.00 on Oct. 15 and in 3 months (Dec. 15) 300.00 increase and been at 500.00 since. O well i still shop there
I called a week ago and see if could b upgraded to Visa. They told me the same thing for CLI, they review accounts monthly and see if you qualify for the Visa. She just said dont go ocl or be late. Never done that and never will! I asked her how long can the card go without usage before its closed and she said to use it at least every 3-4 months to buy something really small and just pif.
Most people get it upgraded when theres no balance for a long period of time. Imma see if that method really works. LOL. I tried, alot of usage and pif, alot of usage and carry a balance, so now no usage.
