Yeah, I hear ya, I have the HILTON HONORS card from American Express. I never had a problem with AX. They do send tons of junk mail though, from new card offerings to worthless items no one would ever buy heheheheh.

Porgy, I'm totally with you on that one. But as a BofA customer, I think I would trade all my current cards in the Bank of America AMEX card. That is one good looking card and a card that would be something to brag about. lol

I opened that account in 4/07, I find the signature card useless and I am tired of calling BofA about it and getting nowhere.

Congrats on the apporoval and welcome to the Hooter's Family! Didn't you just get a cli from the signature for $12.5k? Are you afraid that closing that card will decrease your scores due to long time history with it? One more thing, YOU MADE IT TO THE 800 CLUB! Congrats buddy, it is your birthday! Hugs and kisses from all of us, you deserve it.

Yeah, sounds good, but remember, Porgy has years of history with them and flamboyant credit scores. As for right now, lets pretend his scores are like human weight, he is the fattest. WE don't want to go there.
Nice one Meya!
Porgy, I did some research and I found out that it's not only BofA that doesn't report their credit limits for the Visa Signature cards. All Visa Signature cards don't report to the credit reports unless they are asked to. Based on my research, a lot of people called their card company and asked for their credit limit to be reported to their credit report. Also, when you call CS, don't speak to a regular CSR, speak to someone with high authority such as a senior account manager. They have more power to take a decision into their hands rather than regular CS.

Cool,I just thought of it ,I don't really use the card anyway. I guess I will be in the clear.
I was thinking of applying for the BofA Visa Signature card in the future, but after hearing this story, I don't know what to do. The card looks very nice especially with those high credit limits.

Woe, Woe, Woe! I jsut thought of something. Barclays Bank is selling their accounts to BofA. Oh my goodness! I have the Travelocity Mastercard. Hooooly Cow! I hope nothing changes with me. I know the United and Sykmiles has made it over, I have not heard anything about the Travelocity as of yet. I don't have a signature card, but do you think they will report to my cb on a timely quarter? Porgy1000, Eric, or somebody Heeeelp!
Meya, I don't think you have anything to worry about. I have a Bank of America Platinum Visa and they report my limit every month.

Replied by hjm331 on topic Some creditors does that type
Some creditors does that type of stupidity out of spite and jealousy. Capital One just released all of our limits in the last 3 months of 2007. They used to do the same thing to me, it is to reduce competition. I really think it makes you loose customers, especially from listening to Porgy.
How would jealousy and reducing competition factor into this?
I'm wondering if it's to protect themselves and the account holder. For example, let's say someone is using their BofA Signature Visa card to make an online purchase. Then, the identity theft criminal steals their card number and somehow obtains their social security number. So if the identity theft criminal tries to obtain a credit report to see the credit limit of the card number he just stole, he wouldn't be able to find a credit limit and wouldn't know that there's a credit limit of $35,000.
Does anyone agree?
