That is the part I hated, when I used to accept checks from customers, they would put a hold on it until it cleared. I have been knowing the bank manager of Bofa for years and I still had to have a clearance on those checks. I tried to do the visa/mastercard, but I did not know that you had to have good credit for that service, so that was a downhill idea.

Well, you are on the right track so far. CU are the first one you would want to deal with. We try to share all CU experiences, I just got into one myself and I have no problems with them except for the line being one, and it is very slow. I don't go there often so i don't really complain. Yes, Kay's is a good card, I applied with them and received a $5k line of credit. There jewelry is pretty nice (especially the Leo Diamonds) and I love the sales people. Whenever I visit my nearby mall, I always go right inside to speak to a particular lady, she is trying her best to sell me a gold necklace to use as a matching bracelet to my necklace. Not!!!!

Well I am not much of a jewelry girl- but since they appear to give generous credit limits, I would spend a little bit of money there to keep the utilization low.... I am sure I could find some earings or something,lol... I have been a member of my credit union for several years now, and I like them. I am self employed too, so they treat me nice, and do not put holds on my checks that I am depositing like they do alot of people's because they recognize that its my payroll essentially....
