Update on 09/11/2008
I received a reply. This is copy and pasted from the email.

"At this time, we want to assure you, we have received your inquiry regarding your credit card account and have forwarded the issue to the appropriate department for review. As always, it is important to provide you with a response in a timely manner. Please be advised you will receive a response to your e-mail within one day."

Update on 09/12/2008
I received the final reply.

"We sincerely apologize for the previous miscommunication that you received in error. Our records indicate that the Annual Percentage Rate (APR) reflected on the statement is correctly stated as a variable of 14.99% for purchases and a variable of 20.99% for cash advances.

However, as a gesture of commitment, we're pleased to confirm that your APR has been corrected to reflect the variable APR of 8.99%. Please be assured that this APR, along with a credit for any applicable finance charges andf ees, will be reflected in your next statement."

IDK, why she said that the 14.99% was correct when I called numerous times to double and triple check what the APR was gonna be after the Promo ended, I have notes from each call I made. Everyone including the automated system told me that it was gonna be Prime+3.99%! Even the cardmember agreement that I received in 03/2008 showed that. I think they didnt want to admit that they made an error.

I cannot believe that by just replying to the email everything was resolved.

My interest now shows 8.99% and they already credited me back the difference in finance charges.

:fun:

Hope this helped/helps someone that ever goes through a similar situation.

Update on 09/10/08 (later that afternoon)
I just received the second reply letter today and guess what? Its the exact same letter I received the first time, just signed by a different name. I think they have monkeys opening their mail[/quote]"We're pleased to confirm that your account carries the fixed introductory Annual Percentage Rate (APR) of 0.00% for purchases, balance transfers, and checks that access your account. These introductory APRs are effective untilthe due date of 09/09/08. Your APR for cash advances is your standard APR of the Prime Rate plus 15.99% currently 20.99%.[/I]

On the expiration of your introductory APR, your purchase APR will be the variable rate of the Prime Rate plus 3.99% currently 8.99%. A variable APR may change monthly according to changes in the Prime Rate."

I hit "Reply", and sent]"Why is my APR currently reflecting 14.99% when I received a reply on 07/15/2008 from Melissa Gonzalez an E-mail CSR stating that upon expiration of my introductory APR of 0% on 09/09/08, my purchase APR will be the variable rate of the Prime Rate plus 3.99% currently 8.99%???? The message is attached."[/I]

I put this under a different post related to APR Increases. I just moved it here so its easier to find.

09/10/2008
I have been disputing the current APR on my Chase Freedom since 08/07/2008.

I was approved 03/2008, CL $5500 w/ 0% APR for 6 months ending 09/09/08 then Prime+3.99%, currently 8.99%.

They auto upgraded me to a Signature 07/2008 even though I told them not to. After numerous calls, on 08/04/08 they finally downgraded me.

A few days after when I logged online, my interest was no longer 0%, it was 14.99%!!!!! With the downgrade back to the regular Chase Freedom, my special APR offers cancelled out. They refuse to deny thats the reason, and tell me that I was only suppose to b on 0% for 4 months, WTF! And that I was never offered 8.99%...

I am currently disputing this and have proof that my APR is suppose to be 8.99%. I still have all the original papers when I received my card in March. The cardmember agreement shows exactly what I was offered. I also had sent Chase a message on 07/14/08 through their Message Center asking them specific details on my account. I received a reply from them on 07/15/08 which showed the end date for the promo and what my purchase/cash apr will b after.

I mailed them a dispute letter 08/09/08 specifically acknowledging my 2 documents of proof. I received a reply on 08/22/08 by mail telling me that my APR is correct and to send in proof! I called and told them that I already did and that I will remail. I remailed the documents 08/26/08 which they received already on 08/29/08 and im waiting on a reply which I should get by Monday 9/15. They are fairly quick with replying and obviously fairly quick in reviewing my information, they dont bother to look at page 2 and 3.

Chase seems to love me for some reason

Well I wish they will show me some love, they can't stand the grounds I am walking on unless it is a student loan.

Chase seems to love me for some reason. I have two cards with them and they keep sending me offers for new cards. I don't need a buisness card because I don't have one.

Chase is such a hard place to get a credit card at. Even if you have good credit they are hard to get a credit card with. Their interest rates are also high, especially with student loans.

Uh-oh, I clicked on the link but it says, "Sorry, but you are not allowed to access this forum." I'll take it as a sign that I am cured.

Go over to your left where it says "Community Tools", click "Clubs' and then click "Credit Card addicts". Did you make sure to check to see if your profile is not hidden? I can not send you an invite if it is locked. Open the door and quit hidding, you already confessed. You know that I will love to have you there, all we have to do is get our home timings together and schedule dates and times to sign in. Me and Pam is still in stage one. I have been that way for about 3 months now, until I had to apply for the "Select Comfort" application. I was approved, but my scores did not move anywhere from the pull. It's been about 5 days since I got it and I also received the Alert from True Credit about the pull from EQ. Do you think it is going to stay that way, or will it soon drop?

I don't want to apply for any new cards right now. I want to let the 7 that I have age. The next card I want to apply for is the HSBC AMEX. To be quite honest, I think that it will be the closest thing to a REAL AMEX that I might receive in the forseeable future. I need to let some inquiries fall off first.

Show me the way. Is there a membership fee to pay for this club? And, do you take credit cards? LOL
