Hello all I know been a while since I have been on just wanted to give ya'll the heads up on Hooters. They closed my account because they said I had opened to many new accounts, keep in mind they had just increased my credt limt 4 DAYS prior to $1300 from $1000. I wrote them a letter asking why they closed my account. I got the response today " because of my account history". I have never been late on any of my accounts and never over the credit limit on any of my accounts, go figure.
Now what is the great world of credit doing??? All I can say is this is unreal

Do you belong to a credit union? If so you may try talking to them, often times they have programs set-up and are willing to work with you.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'm not currently part of a credit union but I will look in to it. Just looking for a way to raise my scores.

Hooters is funny because they will approve some and have denied others. I applied for this card early last year but I haven't tried to apply for it again. So if you do apply I would wait, get your scores up a little more and then try applying. Is Orchard your only CC?
Yeah, Orchard is my only CC. I've had two others - amex platinum that was closed but in good standing and a bank of america now in collections.

Hi, first post on the board. I am looking to apply for this card but do not want to add an inquiry if I am likely to be denied. Current fico is 610, no BK but some negative accounts. I currently have an Orchard Bank unsecured with a CL of $300 (but I've only had it for about 8 months). Any advice?

Oh "bellee' dat" (think Blue Streak), definitely go Prime! Even if your scores improve and they take you, you will get an AF and messed up customer service...plus no electronic statements. I don't want to go on vacation and have some fool mess with my mailbox when I get a Hooters statement.
If you can, go for any Juniper card......they act like Prime, but are just not quite up there. I mean, $2500 to get a $25 gift card at B&N? LOL....though if you pay off in full, it's a nice card and it is getting use. I'm trying to get one more card right now from either Chase or Citi...please wish me luck.
Totally loved "Blue Streak" yes I totally agree, maybe towards the end of the year I will apply

Way to go Buddie! Yes they are pretty slow. They used to have mines ready on the 7th statement. I think the last one was a 10 month stall.
