Cheap Ways to Thank Employees this Holiday Season

Regardless of your position, if you have employees who work for you it is important to say thanks during the holiday season. For some, this is easier said than done.

While you want to show your thanks, it goes without saying that you don’t want to break the bank while doing so. Here are three cheap ways to thank employees this holiday season:

1. A greeting card. This may sound “too cheap” but it is anything but that if you add a personalized message on the inside. This is your chance to tell each and every employee how much they mean to you and the company as a whole.

2. Gift card. From Starbucks to a local bookstore, almost every retailer in today’s world sells gift cards. Not only is this a great way to show how much you care, but it is also something people really enjoy. In other words, this is a gift that most people will use sooner rather than later.

3. Take them out to lunch or dinner. Why not get a group of people together for a nice lunch or dinner? If your company is too big to do this, throw a killer holiday party complete with food, drinks, and fun. If you really want to get generous, have the party during work hours, such as one afternoon, so that employees also get some time away from the office.

Note: this may not be the cheapest gift in an overall sense, but it ensures that every employee is taken care of and treated in an equal manner.

These are just a few of the many ways to thank employees this holiday season. While you may be running short on time, it is never too late.
