Best Personal Finance Apps

Nowadays you can do so much on your phone, including your personal finances. There are also a ton of options out there and they are not all equal! Below are my favorite budget and personal finance apps.

• Mint: This is the gold standard app for your personal finance needs. The app is effectively an all-in-one resource for creating a budget, tracking your spending, and monitoring your overall finance needs. Mint lets you know when bills are due, what you owe, and how much you have in cash each day. Mint has also added a free credit score, which may not be 100% accurate, but overall very helpful.
• You Need a Budget (YNAB): This is a relatively new company, but the budgeting features on this app are incredible. The user interface is very easy to use and it helps you gain control of your everyday spending. It also allows you to easily categorize your spending as well.  Also, a lot of people online have said this app helps them pay off debt.
• Personal Capital: Personal Capital is more of a wealth management app, but also looks at your everyday spending. The apps allows you to manage your assets and investments and integrates with more than 10,000 financial institutions so you can link everything within the app. The user interface is also very easy to use and even helps give you recommendations on your investment portfolio. My favorite thing about the app is it shows the fees you are paying for each investment and can help you find less expensive, similar risk investment options. 
• Acorns: Acorns is the best app for saving and it is automatic! Every time you make a purchase with a card that is linked to the app, the Acorns app rounds it up to the next highest dollar and puts the money into a portfolio. Overtime this can add up and really save you a lot of money over time.

While there are tons of personal finance apps out there, the ones described above are my favorite and the ones I use on a daily basis.
