Replied by Finance Globe on topic Hi Mary! I do appreciate

Hi Mary! I do appreciate your feedback regarding the credit card reviews.

I do understand your concerns, and I have been brewing up solutions regarding quality control since the review program began. Note that I am not responding about the specific review as you referenced.

First of all, the empty review must have been removed after the page loaded on your browser, before you had a chance to click on it. It will come up like this if the review does not exist. I will modify the program to display an error message if this happens.

Also, please help us provide quality rankings to the reviews, by assigning a "quality score", found at every review page. You will find that very soon, I will add the ability to hide all reviews with a below average score. I do feel that this feature will help eliminate reviews that do not provide useful information about a card.

Thanks, Mike

Replied by MaryM on topic Hey Meya....I think you got

Hey Meya....I think you got me all wrong. Trust me I don't care if anyone say's hooters, b**bs or whatever you want to call them. My point was about the reviews for the cards. That was just an example. I was just saying that someone asked why people were so excited about the hooters card and made that statement instead of thinking "hey maybe the card is good for my credit". I would apply for the card but I have to wait until my credit score goes back up before I think about applying for anymore cards. So no just upset about wasted space on the reviews.

Replied by Meya on topic You do not have to

You do not have to say sorry, you are just telling like it is. If you don't explain how you feel about it then how will someone know right? I went and took a look at the comments and I did see what you was talking about, but I can say that we must first understand what the card actually represents, "Hooter's". I guess what I am trying to say is that I hear members post about US Airmiles rewards, and since it represents rewards from flying, somene is giong to post about airplanes.

Dont get me wrong I do understand what you are talking about, there are some that do not care to hear about personal parts of the body that represent the card. I will hate it if a Las Vegas Strip Mastercard card came about, you might have to skip posts, or there will have to be a rated posting in place before responding. I bet hjm331 will apply first....lol

Replied by MaryM on topic Love this site I'm totally

Love this site I'm totally addicted to it. Just wanted to say I love reading the credit card reviews but I really wish people would actually review the card and keep the conversations to the forums. I noticed in one review someone asking why people are hooked on the hooters card. They went on to say something about "boobs". I mean come on people. This is about credit and if someone wants the card because of that well isn't that up to them, who cares. When I click on a card I want to read the person's experience with that card, how they got it, what's it like, etc. Sorry about my rant :relieved:

Just an update: I don't want everyone thinking I'm a prude or something. I was just using that card as an example. I just think the reviews are getting more like the forums and people aren't reviewing the cards anymore. My husband and I go to hooters on bike night ( we have a harley ) so it has nothing to do with the whole boob thing. Just love the reviews for information.

Replied by Meya on topic Hi Mike, can you put

Hi Mike, can you put a link to Mary Tomkins homepage some where in the network. I have a hard time trying to find her. I usually go to the Credit Home page and go under "Featured Colums", then click "View all financial columns". When I go that route I can't see her homepage, only titles to some articles. I used to be able to get there but I don't see it anymore. Her articles are very helpful and useful when reffering other members to it.

Thanks!

This link is broken Mike, you might want to take a look at it.

I am just browsing around the site and I noticed that when I select "browse resources" I see something new. There are titles and subtitles to choose and how many articles are available, is this something new? I find it very "narrowing and helpful" for us. That is what I say about Mike, another brilliant idea!
