Replied by Meya on topic Re: Tax Debt
I think mines was there about 2 months later. But it did take every bit of 10 years to leave. Well, wait a minute, it left some months prior to the date to be released.

When does a tax lien go on your credit report after being assessed in court?

tu, ex, eq had just deleted my judgement this year. No, I have not heard of them taking away from your credit report. If you pay, it will just say "released" and if you dont pay, it will stay there for the next 10 years. If you only have the credit cards that you say you have, then I say go for it, check out this link before you go anywhere to appy

Forgive me if my question seems ignorant, but I'm new to all of this. I'm in the midst of trying to repair my credit with scores in the 620 range. I have two judgements and a released tax lien. Therefore I fear that I will not ever see daylight for another 4 years and therefore will not be able to pursue my dream of a buying a house anytime soon. My question is- is it possible to get the party that secured the judgement against me to vacate the judgement?
Also I have followed advice with credit cards and currently have three. Orchard Bank issued a year ago, Capital One issued 3 months ago and Amex just issued. All have low balances with AMEX being the highest at 1000.00. Should I wait another six months before applying for anymore or go for it? I have heard that there should be a mix of credit and I'm wondering if I should apply for a department or gas card.
