Like Meya, I love hearin' great news like this! Congrats rwmtd! Once you hit the 600's, the 700 club won't seem so far away. Believe it or not, my scores are between 600-650. I applied for a lot of credit when I turned 18 and have racked up a lot of inquiries. I didn't know that they stay on your report for 2 years so I regret it all the time but I will get back the 700 club hopefully. I'm also working on paying my debt down because high utilization is killing me. Once we all get to the 700 club, we have to throw a party! :cheesing:

Now this is what I love to hear. You go rwmtd, you are so welcome. But, remember, the real winner is you. You are the one who made this happen, we just supported you through the long journey. I am so happy for you.

Have I ever told everyone here at FG how much I appreciate you all.:cheesing: I subscribe to scorewatch at MyFico and imagine my surprise when I received an alert that my credit score had increased by 25 points! I credit you all for helping me along and all of the good advice that I've been given here (Meya, HJM331, KMoney, YoYo11 etc). I am slowly moving up to the 600's (should be there by my estimation by sometime in 2009).

A couple of my baddies fell off and a few more will be falling off in the beginning of next year, my utilization is way down and PIF each month also helps.

I am no longer worried about what credit I should apply for but how to keep the credit that I do have healthy and it all because of FG you all rock!!:cheesing: :cheesing:

I am so happy that you did not accept the offer for HSBC, they are low down and dirty when it comes to cli's. Bofa is a tier 1 card, if you got approved for that (U-Go-Girl) card then you are all good in tier one category. Leave the subprimed alone, there are a lot of people in here such as myself who could not rebuild from tier one cards. Everyone is correct about you letting your accounts age, just sit back and relax with us in here, those 6 months-2 years are gonna fly by so quick.

I remember when I went hay-wire applying for cards, I was right here with FG. I decided to slow down, enrolled myself in the Credit Card Addict Club and just chilled. My two year wait is up next year and I am going for all tier one cards then. There are so many threads in here to have fun and talk to someone (other than credit) like the "Lounge," it is filled with laughter. The main place is about to be the Chartroom, we have a ball in there. Click this link and enroll your self for the next meeting which will be September 14 @ 6]https://www.financeglobe.com/SocialNet/index.php?handler=events&action=attend&evn_id=100014[/URL]

Thanks Eldarwen,
I will lay off applying for any other credit cards for six months or more. I understand that HSBC is a soft inquiry.

Unicorn, HSBC does soft hits for pre-approvals and CLI request...once you complete a full application however....bam you get a Hard hit...

My advice to you, is to let your accounts age for at least 6 months or longer. It's just going to look like you are desperate for credit. That is a red flag for a lot of CCC's. Get some payment history with the cards that you have. Keep your utilization of all your cards down, under 35%.
