with bad economy right now, scores between 680 up to 700 max - you only have 50/50 chance to get approved for credit cards - only banks know why, what and how. other words, good scores (less than 710 but above 680) does not guaranteed you to get approval for whatever credit cards you like. hope one day soon, banks will change their guidelines, reuse 680 as good score to giving people more chances to get approved for visa, master, discover or amex cards.
