My wife and I are sharing a credit card, but I am not sure that counts!

Does anyone share credit cards with their family? I was speaking with my sister-in-law and they each have a credit card under the same account.

Has anyone used Sofi Money before? Someone told me about it, and it looks like a great platform.

Does anyone use Credit Karma as their primary source for their credit score?

Agreed most places I go to and pay with a credit card still require my signature.

Some merchants/processing banks have waived off on the "no signature" option and process it as a chip only card which really moves the transaction along (as to security anyone could pretend to sign and no verification actually took place so not sure where there was any true risk loss). Heard of a situation where a person left their Debit Card in a grocery store and due to no pin or signature had their bank account emptied. Now since no real attempt to verify a signature took place I am not sure how there was a security breach. The card owner was told to file a loss with the bank and hope for the best. Yeah ... ok ... hope for the best. Actually have not seen much on the change to no signature so far. Many merchant/banks have not actually implemented the possible change (it is merchant option).

Wanderer, have you heard of any issues with credit card companies or merchants after the signature change on 4/1/18? I have not.

Never heard of sending in a signature. With Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express removing the mandatory signature requirements from their merchant agreements effective to April 1, 2018 it seems very strange.

Has anyone had to "prove" a charge was not made by you? I was talking to a friend who mentioned that they had to send in their signature for verification, I had never heard of that before!

Typically they do. If you call, they will quickly send you a new one with a new # and security code.

They did not, which is find a little strange now that I think about it. I'll have to look into requesting a new one. When I had an odd charge on another card a few years back they immediately froze it and sent me a new one.

It's the only strange item I've seen so far. I've already gotten a letter back that it was resolved and I've received the refund. I'll be keeping an eye on the account to make sure nothing else pops up though.

Good news you received a refund. Did they issue you a new credit card with a new #?

Note ... it was our ever popular Equifax that did not update their security patches to the tune of 143,000,000 files plus another 2,500,000 files. Hey ... who's left?!
