Replied by hjm331 on topic I have a question. How

I have a question. How long does it take for BofA to give a CLI on their own? I had to ask for my previous one (first CLI on that account) and they only approved me for $300. I guess that's what it is if you're young.

Ewww, that is why I wait for them to give me a cli. I go on a cli mission every six months but Orchard, ohhh noooo, I just wait to see them in the long-run. Out of curiosity, I was just asking them why have they yet to consider my cli after my 6 month review. Never ask orchard for a cli members.

Meya by law if they charge you a $50 fee for an increase they have to report it on your monthly statement as a finance charge. If you would have taken the CLI your monthly finance charge would have been 155% LOL ouch, now thats an interest rate you may faint over

It's the truth Porgy, and I am not the one who is going to fall for it. How dare Orchard try and charge me $50 for a $200 cli! I have been faithful to them for the past 4 years. This is why I wish I had all tier one cards. I am fed up with subprimed!

Replied by porgy1000 on topic I will try to be

I will try to be nice here. For a lender to charge you for a CLI is just crazy. They earn their money on interest charges and should give a higher credit line based on your history.

I really do not understand these banks, agin I will try to be nice about them. I think that charging you an annual fee is a total rip off. I thought the annual fee thing went out of style in the 1980's, I guess not :dumbfounded:

Replied by jnjsarauer on topic I probably would not miss

I probably would not miss it anyway, they are too slow and cheap with their cli's. I believe they already started because I used to always get a cli in 6 months and it has been since june for my last cli. When I called in an asked for one they gave me $200 but wanted to charge me $50 for it. I told them never mind, and they left it on my card with the $50 being financed. I had to call them back and go to the left on them.

I learned something new today, as I had no idea a company would charge a consumer for giving them a credit limit increase. Yes, I know this was a case where the consumer requested the increase, but still!!! Just when I think I know it all about these companies . . . .

Replied by porgy1000 on topic From what I have read

From what I have read HSBC will not be offering CLI's on most cards including the tier 1 cards they issue. They are really pulling back and I cant say I blame them.

Banks have nothing from the cardholders to back up the cards if someone does not pay them back. People are NOT paying back their car loans or mortgages where they bank can come take the car or house back. I guess you really cant blame the banks for running scared. If someone says to them; I am not going to pay you back, what can they do? charge it off is about it :dumbfounded:

Replied by porgy1000 on topic HSBC will be doing away

HSBC will be doing away with alot of cards this year, they are having major losses with the Orchard cards. Unlike other banks, they do NOT charge the high fees to get the card and the people with low scores are not paying HSBC back. You will see them stop doing CLI and further cutbacks this year as well :scared:

Actually, you are telling the truth. I was telling my neighbor about the card and she said the links are saying, "This card is not available." Oh well, it was fun while it lasted and you will not have a problem with the card cliff, it is just that they are not offering it anymore to new customers.
