talk to your kids about credit

hi everyone the other day my daughter (who is 13) was asking if she was old enough to get a credit card and i told her the answer was no. i was wondering how we could approach our kids that are old enough to be told about credit and how it works. i know Dillards has a card for teens and you have to use half of your credit. should there be something like a bank that would let a teen get a card and see if they could be responsable for the bill and show them how to use credit wisely and if they failed it not go against them?
