If this is the beginning, I don't know if we will have stores to shop at in the near future.
Oh, we'll still have Wal-Mart. They are like cockroaches, they will survive nuclear holicost.

Good lord, I hope my little dept store cards do not close down, everything is leaving
I know. I am fearing for Sears/K-Mart. That would just be really weird if Sears were gone.
I think some department stores will leave in certain areas, but overall they will still be around. The smaller stores, not so much. We will see.

Man if PacSun is losing down, my PacSun credit card would be deemed worthless. I didnt know they were in financial trouble. Looks like im gonna do more research on this.
I read something on AOL about PacSun; they had a subsidiary or a special concept store-those are the ones closing down.
Whether true or not, after this Holiday season we will see which stores are still around. That is what hapened to Montgomery Ward after the holiday season of 2000; they were already struggling but because sales were down that year, they closed up shop.

It's OK, just try hard to remember that a link is always helpful for any author or for us to try and cross reference it. We know that you do provide links when you have info to share. Mainly, thanks for providing it , and trust me we appreciate it.

Where did this email come from? Sounds like it could be true but also seems like it could be malicious.

Here is some information I received via e-mail that may or may not be true. It's just a heads up if you are thinking of purchasing gift cards
I wanted to give everyone a heads up that if you tend to give gift cards around the holidays, you need to be careful that the cards will be honored after the holidays. Stores that are planning to close after Christmas are still selling the cards through the holidays even though the cards will be worthless January 1. There is no law preventing them from doing this. On the contrary, it is referred to as 'Bankrupcy Planning). Below is a partial list of stores that you need to be cautious about.
Circuit City filed Chapter 11]
Ann Taylor 117 stores nationwide closing
Lane Bryant, Fashion Bug ,and Catherine's to close 150 stores nationwide
Eddie Bauer to close stores 27 stores and more after January
