Remarks Go into the store and apply, but work on getting a cli first on every last one of the cards that you have. Good luck on the card!

Remarks Use your debit card at the store... Alot of time if your looking for a pre approval, if you use your debit they will flag you and let you know that you have been pre-approved... The PA's are like gold I haven't heard of anyone getting declined after getting the PA at target.

Hey, Give It A Try User Icon on 2008-04-16

Remarks This will be the next card in your progression to a super credit history. Try to get the preapproval at the register first by paying with your debit card. If that doesn't work, try it on line... How's this for inspiration... Last March Target didn't immediately approve my fiance's target card ( he got the 7 day deal but it arrived in the mail to his surprise) Today he has got 3 cards with limits between 6 and 9 thousand dollars EACH, a great new house and car!! Target was the first one he tried for. So push it girl!!! Start rebuilding that credit!!!

Remarks I'm scared... But i'll try... So from my understanding... Use my regular check/card as a debt... For pay for purchase... See if there's a pre approval on the receipt... And go from there... Right?

Remarks I remember when I got my target preapproval. I didn't have a wonderful sight like this one to let me know it was legitimate so I really doubted it was for real!!! It was like a crack of light and hope after a while with only Orchard!!! I was certain it must be some sort of mistake and I was even too ashamed of public hiumilation to accept the offer right there in front of the line... So how about I took the receipt that had the preapproval on it to the target store the next town over to customer service far back in the corner where no one was to see if it was really true!!! I was so encouraged by the new credit card that the next day I applied for a jc penny card right there at the register in front of God and everyone and was APPROVED!!! Boy what a feeling. I think you've hit your stride with the hooters and the Orchard cli and the extra Orchard. So good luck to you!! I know really soon you'll be canceling the subprime cards. I just recently canceled my Orchard and another HSBC card that worked exactly like Orchard. I kept my Direct Rewards though since it didn't have an annual fee. I needed to keep something aged on my credit report.

Remarks Good luck and I hope you get the card! Keep us posted. I just have a quick question. What is Fingerhut? I got an actual card in the mail that I did not apply for from them. They gave me a 6,000 CL, but I have not done anything with it. It is sitting in my drawer. I tried to call the number on the card or letter it came with, but I cant speak to a real person. It is only automated to activate the account. Which I don't want to do because I know nothing about Fingerhut. If anyone can shed some light. Thnx, galxygrl*

Remarks Fingerhut has been around for about 1000 years. A merchanise credit card. You can only order from their catalog. Just go to www.Fingerhut.com... And you can view their products... But watch out because some prices are 10% to 30% higher than the regular stores. I purchased a Fossil watch that was $65... On the Fossil web site it was still $65 so I purchased it from Fingerhut. There's the Black and Decker toaster over on Fingerhut site for $199, Target has it on their site for $119. Fingerhut does report to the credit bur... So I say use them just to open the account and pay the small monthly payments. Oh if you make a payment on line, it's $1.00.
